Hello, today we went to have lunch at dgk with office colleague at their lothian road outlet, we order of their doner box with flaming fries. Team provided both orders without flaming fries but normal fries. When we went to reception/counter with this they provided us with the flaming fries spice to be sprinkled on the fries by ourselves ! Jesus are they living in 2025 ? Such a pathetic customer service.
Ordered many times by delivery these years but first time writing the review. Me and many of my friends said the same that their beef just doesn’t taste like beef but overall it’s still tasty, and the chicken doner is always delicious - I always choose mix. No matter which form/category you choose to order, the content and the ingredients are all the same; so they are all the same tasty all the way through. Thanks GDK. And another thumb up for the packaging, being beautiful and clean. I also love the yoghurt sauce and the chilli sauce/spicy here - they mix chillis with black pepper powder! Amazing! Overall, highly recommend. Worth the price.
No matter which country or branch of German Doner Kebab I visit, I always leave with the same level of satisfaction. Their doner kebabs are consistently cooked to perfection—neither undercooked nor burnt, just the right balance. The seasoning and fat content are spot on, delivering a flavourful experience every time.  The ambiance in their restaurants is inviting, and the staff are always friendly, which seems to be a hallmark of their service. We recently visited their location in Edinburgh and, once again, were thoroughly pleased with our experience. Thank you for maintaining such high standards across all your branches.
Not sure why it is at 4.1 stars. Yes, it is a chain but it is clean, tasty, and has a wide variety of Doner based options. It was some of the least expensive food we ate in Edinburgh and amongst the best. If you're hungry go there and don't hesitate.
Called in when walking past on our way to a show when we wanted a quick food stop. We were greeted warmly and the menu choices explained. There are lots of different kebab options, with salad, fries or both. We went for a mixed kebab with fries which was swiftly delivered to our table after ordering. The meal was tasty and came with 3 tubs of their in house sauces with different flavours. Service was prompt and friendly, a good alternative to MacDonalds!
Can't fault it. Great kebab, clean restaurant and quick service. I remember eating one of these in the first London Store over 5 years ago and their branding and consistency is remarkable. Recommend German Doner Kebab to anyone who hasbt had the pleasure to go to Germany and try how they make them there.
the person taking my order had no patience in explaining me the differences between kebabs. in the table, the QR code for the menu was not working, and the kebab was 5£, then when I stand up to do the order, was 7£ the kebab. the fries were not tasty and the kebab is not like in berlin, the meat was cold. the filling did not reach the bottom, as in Berlin. I did not even finish my food, and they approach to ask if they could pick up the things from the table. Terrible service. Fishy advertisement, is not true
my families love doner kebab. the chicken meat doner here is impressive. crispy, tender and juicy. really fresh. it is quite a valuable meal. many customers queuing up. spring rolls was super yummy. but the dipping sauce, it should has more varieties. the rest was a great meal.
