An excellent restaurant with exceptionally polite and helpful staff. Food was very good and service just perfect, so friendly and engaging. A lot of attention to detail which made my husband's birthday even more special. Great choice of Sake!
Wow wow wow! The best sushi experience I had in my life ! The noodles was phenomenal, the service was great, the sushi was delicious. Loved every second of this place
Coming from an Asian who’s been eating ramen over various places in Japan and Taiwan growing up. I can’t even honestly rate the ramen—while the broth was passable, the noodles were completely limp and didn’t soak up any flavor. It’s easily the oddest bowl of ramen I’ve ever tasted. Anyone raving about it probably hasn’t had real ramen… This spot is only for when you’re in Edinburgh craving ramen and have zero other options. If you actually want to savor your ramen experience, give this place a hard pass. The staff was really friendly, and they had sumo matches playing on screen to set a Japanese vibe—but sadly, the food just doesn’t live up to the ambiance.
A lovely place! Surprisingly quiet, everyone seems to be so respectful. We ordered eel rice, teriyaki chicken rice, chicken karaage and seaweed salad. The food tastes nice with good presentation and relatively competitive price. Service was great as well. Will defo come back.
The food and service was amazing! Our host was warm and friendly. This was one of the best meals we’ve had in Edinburgh. The ambience of the restaurant was charming. We can’t wait to return!
Food was good but too expensive for what you get. Food came after 10 minutes but we could taste that some of it was cooked before and then just heated as the chicken had this typical "Chicken-Reheat-Flavour". Although we took starters we were not really satisfied after the main course.
The food was phenomenal, can wholeheartedly say it was the best I’ve ever had, I enjoyed every single bite, at the end, after having 1 main course I felt very comfortable full. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, so welcoming, they made the whole experience 100 times better. The restaurant itself was amazing, it was so calming, with gentle music, dim lights, and a very calm atmosphere. I didn’t feel rushed at any point, the waiter appointed us seats straight away, gave us menus, then 5 minutes later came back with water (with a slice of lime and ice) for each person, without anyone asking for it, which I found so thoughtful, and they gave us as much time as we needed to pick out what we liked to eat, then came right over as we made eye contact with them, being so friendly and welcoming and kind. Overall I absolutely loved my experience, so did my mum who was with me, and we will 10009% be coming back here again. The place is amazing!
Awesome authentic Japanese restaurant in the prettiest area of Edinburgh. The food is amazing. And the staff is attentive and super polite. Wouldn’t doubt on coming back again. Sushi was delicious! And the ramen looked incredible. Highly recommended!
The food was amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. If you love Japanese food and culture this is the place to go. And the service was phenomenal! Would go again for sure!
