We had dinner here during a long weekend break in Edinburgh. This is a lovely family run Italian restaurant which does great food. Broughton Street is close to the St James's quarter in the centre of town. It's quite a small and intimate restaurant and the food is all cooked fresh. Don't expect pizza here, this is much more about traditional Italian cuisine and they do that very well. It's run by a lovely husband and wife team who are so friendly and experienced. Without doubt, this was one of the nicest individual Italian restaurants we've been in for a while. Great food, sensibly priced drinks and super service.

Yesterday we ate at another Italian restaurant that was OK so we where looking forward to eating at DaVinci's to see if we could get back on track. Nice 15 minutes stroll from The Royal Mile. Service was OK and the atmosphere was fantastic. The food was very good. I got a pesto type gnocchi and my partner got a traditional pasta with red sauce and seafood and also enjoyed the food. I would recommend DaVinci to anyone.

Arrived last minute asking for a table for... 11. The owner made some magic to accommodate such a big table and we ended up having 2 large tables for us. The ambience is refined. The food is out of this world (the gnocchi with king prawns are formidable), and the service is outstanding. Ah, and very well priced.

We enjoyed a very lovely dinner at DaVinci. We ordered the fresh mussels and the lobster bisque & scallop risotto, plus a green salad. Everything was quite good. The server/owner was very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

What a nice experience we had. The staff are attentive and wonderful to talk with. You have to try their appetizer mussels. So good and rather filling. We ordered the risotto with lobster and scallops. The risotto over all was delicious. Lobster was a little over cooked but the scallops were delightful. I would recommend getting a reservation. The place fills up quickly.

We just discovered this restaurant while exploring Edinburgh for the first time, and it was just what we needed! Just a few tables inside, but a great value set lunch menu with a good few options on, and the staff were super accommodating for a couple of small tweaks we asked for. Really tasty food and perfect portion sizes for lunchtime. Recommend!
