   First time visiting Monteiths. 5 adults and 2 kids. The food was great and the general atmosphere was relaxed. We were efficiently served by 2 waitresses. The biggest downside being we were made to feel very rushed. We knew when booking that we only had a 2 hour slot and we were fine with that. However, we were reminded of this on 3 different occasions during our meal by one of the waitresses. Within 15 mins of being seated , before we even ordered. At the end of main course before dessert. We had settled the bill when said waitresses who was obviously unaware that bill had been settled informed us she would bring us the bill because they'd be needing table back. We were in and out within our 2 hour slot so I feel that the constant reminding was a little unnecessary.

   Very decent value for Sunday dinner, two courses for £20. As good as the options and portions were the food could have been better. Balmoral chicken doesn't need deconstructed. Serve it like it's meant to be. Plus the amount of salt used in the cooking is too much and the spices in the hot dishes was overpowering. Nice atmosphere though and is a comfortable place to visit. A few improvements needed on the food side though.

   Had the Sunday roast twice here now up stairs in the bistro and it’s been great both times. Pleasant staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend coming if in area. It’s our go to now for Sunday lunch.

   The Tardis of Clarkston, a lot bigger inside than looks from outside. Very nice place with a good atmosphere. Food was excellent quality and well priced. Service was excellent.

   We dropped in here mid-week. First time here, and we were looking for a light early dinner. We chose upstairs. Various deals were on ..lots of choice. I'd a lovely chicken salad starter; my wife had the buttermilk chicken dippers. Both dishes were delicious! Then for mains, I'd the Katsu Chicken Curry and the boss chose fish and chips. Well, the fish was the tastiest she'd had in a while - so tasty she actually finished it all despite it being a large portion! My dish was perfect too Too full for dessert, we'd a coffee and a tea. We both had soda water and lime. The bill came to just £37 ! Couldn't believe just how good value it was! The food is lovely; the service friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere just spot on Toilets lovely and clean. Well done to all the staff who really make this place stand out

   Booked the night before and checked the 50% off coupon would be OK, got a positive on that. Arrived following day and once again checked 50% off coupon was valid to which I got a positive. Had and enjoyed food and asked for bill offering the 50% off coupon which I was then told was not valid as it was valentines day (can I just say at this point there was no indication of this on the menu, in the decor nor in the atmosphere). When I told the person who gave me the bill that we had been told the coupon was OK when we booked and when we arrived she said she would see what she could do. Outcome was we paid £43.92 instead of £25.46 . Moral of this comment is I suppose double double check coupons before buying.

   Myself and seven of my friends had a fabulous night in Monteiths Clarkston on Friday the 16th On arrival we were given a very warm welcome, directed to our table , given enough time to settle in , order our drinks and go through a menu which was very impressive. As I mentioned, the quality of food , and the standard of service was 5 star.nd value for money Would we recommend Monteiths, of course we do and we look forward to making a return visit very soon. Go on give them a call , you won't be disappointed.

   The staff are exceptional. Had a cracking dinner on Friday night. Great menu for kids (pre-school section is a brilliant idea) and it's dog friendly. Will definitely be back.

   Bistro upstairs for dinner was good value, nice selection of starters, mains and dessert. It was very busy and the waiting staff did well though I suggest they get drinks order in and out a little quicker while you decide on food saying that it was not a long wait and I'm sure that will settle down. Lose the big screens in the Bistro upstairs, no need. Last thing you want when out is to see more news... Spent an hour or so in the bar downstairs after the meal, this was good however the decibel levels of music was to much turn it down a little. Good pricing on the drinks though.
