We have just had such a lovely time in Charcoals. Such a great welcome, delicious popadoms and dips served immediately. Drinks orders taken and served very quickly. There were seven of us and only a couple had starters which they said were delicious, old faithful chicken pakora. The staff then put down complimentary crispy potatoes and bhajis which were so tasty. Two of us had lamb bhoona for mains, best, most tender lamb we have had in any Indian curry. Two had tandoori chicken tender and tasty. One had a chicken chasni which he devoured but we all agreed that the butter chicken was the dish of the night. Excellent service, very quickly and so accommodating. Very reasonably priced for such a delicious meal. Do yourself a favour and have a visit.

We ordered Chicken Biryani, Peshawari Naan and Malai Tikka. Portion size was generous, especially for the biryani. All dishes tasted really good and authentic. Service was fast.

This Indian restaurant is my happy place! The staff is warm, the food is amazing, and the vibes are unbeatable. Our server was a rockstar - witty jokes and great recommendations! The food was love at first bite - creamy butter chicken, fluffy naan, and flavorful biryani. The staff even offered us complimentary dessert and drinks! A must-visit for good food, good vibes, and even better company. Will I return?* Absolutely!

We had lovely butter chicken curry with boiled rice and my friend had bhuna lamb curry with chapati. The starters was vegetable pakoro and grilled chicken wings with mixed salads on the side. I like my butter chicken curry it was creamy little sweets but I added fresh green chillies to give a kick. I must say it works wonderful. My friend enjoyed her lamb bhuna and chapati. Definitely we will go back again. I also like to mention Lydia. She's lovely and friendly. She is a beautiful lady.

Had such a lovely experience at this restaurant! The vibe was great, but what really made it stand out was the amazing service from Ali honestly one of the kindest servers I’ve come across. He really looked after us and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The mutton biryani ? Wow! It was super yummy! The flavour was rich, the spices tasted really fresh, and you could tell the food was made with perfection. It didn’t have that same ‘one-gravy-fits-all’ taste that a lot of other places do this one was different and full of flavour. Portion size was spot on and also we were offered a little something extra with our meal, and while I won’t go into detail out of respect for his role, it meant so much to us. It was thoughtful and made us feel genuinely cared for. Super satisfied and will definitely be going back. Thank you Ali, you made our day!

Awesome! The best meal I’ve had in a long time. One complaint: my stomach was too small for all the tasty stuff I ordered, so make sure you are hungry; and you will be happy :D

Both my partner and me visit at least once a week the food is tremendous. Ali is great with the customers nothings a problem. They also do a lot for the homeless people of Glasgow. Like provide hot free meals on Xmas day etc. A great restaurant. Consistently good food.

Drunken munch! Kebab meat was so succulent. I hate when you get dry donor meat. Chips were nice and fresh. Good portion £6 staff were friendly and you can sit in

Extremely wonderful experience in this delightful Indian restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and incredibley attentive. Upon being seated in a nice booth, after ordering drinks the waiter came out with a complimentary plate of beautifully marinated chicken wings. The food we ordered came shortly after, a lamb bhuna and a lamb korma. We ordered these with a serving of naan bread each, and received plentiful amounts of naan. The portion sizes were perfect, and the flavour extremely satisfying. The lamb was so tender that it was falling apart at the brief touch of a spoon, and impregnated with the flavour of the curry extremely well. Also, considering we both had lamb dishes (which would usually cost a fortune anywhere else in Glasgow) the prices were extremely reasonable. A couple could dine here and only spend just over £20, while receiving a perfectly satisfying amount of food. You can tell that the owners and the staff at Charcoals really care about their customers. I was impressed with the amount of charity work also supported by the restaurant. To dine & spend your money here is almost the same as giving it to a good cause. The people running this place deserve all of the custom they get, and I would definitely eat here again.
