Amazing place with great atmosphere and a cool little show every hour. A must stop if you're a fan or if you would like to experience something fun and unique. We went with our children and they loved it and got a nice little fruit drink. We unfortunately couldn't order food when we went cause the kitchen was closed but the drinks were great. We got The Black Death and the Smoky Hyde cocktails. Both fit the theme well and tasted excellent.

Pretty full in the upstairs area as expected, but got some good seats on the balcony on some very hard chairs with premium view for the Frankenstein decending. Sweet bartenders with easy service at the bar. Possible for easier seating down stairs in the karaoke area with just as good atmosphere. Cool concept. Nice selection in the bar. Did not try the food unfortunatly. Nice music choice, mostly rock/metal

Really fun, busy but not too noisy, decorations were really good and didn't come across as just a tourist spot, I regret not buying myself a t-shirt. I would recommend booking a table as it's very popular. The food was pretty decent, nice pizza and decent value.

We really enjoyed our experience here! • Book ahead (they will also block your card for 40 pounds, but not charge them. • you have to book arrival and departure time (we had 8 pm - 9:15, but we could have stayed more). The maximum allowed time is 2 hours. • in this time slot we caught only once the Frankenstein drop. • we had a small band who singed wonderful! • the drinks are great! You have to go to the bar, order them and take them to your tables. Be ready to queue a bit, but they move fast. Totally recommend Corpsey Colada and Purple Monster Martini.

This pub is a must for vintage horror fans. The old church makes a great venue and the decor and short monster show are just cool. Fun to have the old movies playing while eating and drinking. The food and drinks are good and the staff are friendly and really busy on the weekend.

Had a wonderful, wonderful, marvellous time. We went on a Sunday for Karaoke. The host was awesome, kept the morale up and super friendly. The music was A+ and the service was amazing. Our bartender was Cameron and he hugely contributed to our night there being great. I will definitely be going back whenever I'm in Edinburgh

So if you want a different pub experience this is it!! Decorated in all things Frankenstein and horror, set over 3 levels, each different and unique. It makes for a great atmosphere to have a drink in. A good drinks menu, but they were short of a couple of items and couldn’t make the cocktails we asked for. It’s worth being around for 11pm when the bell tolls and Frankenstein is brought alive and descends from above the bar in his basket! Definitely worth a visit for something different!

This is an amazing horror themed bar on three levels. With the lighting effects and decor it has a really good atmosphere. Only problem we had was the DJ who emptied the place when he started doing his own karaoke
