I give him a 1 star because it does not allow me to give no stars at all. Looking forward to another amazing Scottish breakfast, but this was the worse experience in Edinburgh. Black pudding, sausages, tomato, bacon and some other processed meat was not edible. Waa like rubber. Coffee was of the worse quality. Had to put 6 sugars and yet could not drink it, as it was so bitter. Place is very dirty. Please choose another spot to eat!

This place is an absolute gem of a deal! Just minutes away from Haymarket station itβs gots authentic French baguette sandwiches, pastries, and wine. We got the sandwiches which came with salad and crisps and the soup of the day (tomato) which came with a sliced baguette. All of it was wonderful and fresh, check this out for a quick budget bite! With a moka, tea, 2 sandwiches, and a soup it came to just under Β£18!

I bought a nice sourdough loaf and two fruit tarts. The service was very pleasant, we had nice chat.

Enjoyed a very decent Moka coffee and smoked salmon quiche. My wife had the brie and gherkin sandwich. She loved it as well. It's nice and warm inside with a nice local buzz.

Excellent food and friendly service - bear in mind that service is likely to be slow and allow time for this but the food is very nice and extremely well-priced for what it is.

Very slow service, continental breakfast consisted of a croissant, coffee and a glass of orange juice. Full Scottish breakfast was OK but over cooked. Wouldn't go back, I'm afraid.

Staff were very pleasant but the service was incredibly slow. The food was OK but the soup had to be returned to be heated up properly and the coffee was very average. We won't be back.

The decor of the cafe is very nice and had a really calm relaxed atmosphere. The service was friendly but incrediblely slow. We went here for lunch and it took over half an hour to get a glass of orange juice and a sandwich, unsure if they were understaffed or something as the place was only maybe 10% full. The fresh orange juice was terrible value, over 3 pounds for barely more than half a glass. When the food came it was very nice and we enjoyed it.
