   This was THE HIGHLIGHT for us when it came to getting food in Edinburgh!! we were here for 3 days and we ate dinner here for all of those 3 days! The guy working the place named “Mubashir” he’s an absolute delight of a man and please give him your regards every time you visit!! the make a desi special almost every day in dinner so please ask for that and I would recommend always getting that !!

   22.11.25- despite previous issue thought I would give them a sceond chance. Just eat order never arrived. An initial 45 minute delivery time updated every half hour for three hours. 14.11.25- chicken shawarma had a piece of sharp green plastic inside. Wasn't going to leave a negative review as the guys were very apologetic however after waiting 3 hours for my last order- see above- AVOID

   What a find! Will be coming back. I took a wrap and then called my family and sat done and dined after tasting the wrap. The Shawarma House is run by what looks like Kurdish brothers. It feels like a family run business. The food is full of flavour and we were received with kindness and generosity. Thank you for your hospitality. Definitely a favourite in Edinburgh!

   So while I’ve had the shawerma here, it was a while ago, and I’m not going to review it. I’ve been here a few times, and while the service didn’t leave me enchanted, I didn’t run into anyone rude. I’m reviewing the kebab, I really love it. The chips are always so tasty and wet (in a good way), the meat itself is very nice. It’s not perfect, but considering we’re in the UK, it’s a really good kebab. There was this one time when I ordered a full kebab platter, but it was late at night and I assume they had run out of all the ingredients, so I didn’t get the exact order I wanted. But they made up for it with extra food I didn’t order, so that was nice.

   We are here from the States and my son loves Shawarma so we googled around to find a restaurant and found this place and so happy we did! Food was simply amazing, very fresh and the servers were so nice and helpful! Loved it! Fresh Naan and Hummus, Chicken kabobs and Lamb shawarma was so yummy!! You wi t be disappointed go check them out!

   The food was great, the service was amazing and I really recommend the Kurdish tea. For those that don't like green tea the Kurdish tea can be hard hitting but a little bit of sugar and it's perfect. The reason it's 4 stars is because the chips were a tiny bit hard in the middle.

   We’ve been to this restaurant almost 5 times now, and it’s getting really better!! The mixed grill (mainly Kebab) is highly recommended!! And the lamb and cheese Fatayer is mouth watering and so delicious! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Worth trying it!

   This place actually serves proper lamb kebabs on freshly baked naan breads (not the weird sausage meat cylinders). I only found out about it this week and I've been twice already, they are delicious.
