La Perla is a great underground tapas bar in Bath, serving up fresh authentic Spanish cuisine. All of the dishes were great. I really enjoyed the croquettes. So indulgently rich. I would have liked the patatas bravas as to have a bit of a kick or spicy sauce on them. The atmosphere and service were excellent. I will be coming back.

One of the best tapas I tried in uk and definitely the best in Bath! Being with spanish girlfriend I can confirm the quality and originality. The whole team was wonderful and the food really really delicious with good sizes portions. Would 100% recommend and definitely will come back! Thanks to the Chef Juan, Waiter Harry and the rest of the team for making everyone feel really happy. (Food was soo good we start eating, even forgot taking more pictures)

Food: What can I say? The food here is very good! High quality dishes a couple of highlights: gambas al ajillo, pork cheecks, and jamon iberico. I unfortunately was not able to taste the paella that day, but the chef quickly came and talked to us, im sure itβs fantastic. We will come back for sure and the reason why is the excellent food, great prices and chef recommendations. Service: We had a great time we had a table of 4, arrived by closing hour (second to last available time to book - opentable). They quickly gave us a table based on our reservation. Ordered water and drinks fairly quickly and then food. As the plates are ment to be shared we order many dishes to try as much as possible. The food arrived very quick, even quicker than drinks. We waited a few minutes for our drinks after food was server (a first one for me). I definitely think the service was friendly and when asked for help we didnβt have to wait so long. Perhaps being a bit more proactive could offer higher level of service. Atmosphere: The place is fantastic, just on the corner of the street you will see the sign and itβs underground! Great decoration, very warmth and welcoming. Someone on the group recommended a change of tunes, as the music did not aligned with the Spanish vibe, that would certainly add another touch to the restaurant.

10/10 restaurants, would rate this restaurant one of the best of the U.K.!! Not just Bath. Their Pork cheeks, ox tail, grill squid tapas are my favourite. The pork cheeks is so soft and tender, the sauce is amazing itβs sweet and salty at the same time with a tiny touch of caramelise thingy gives a complex flavour yet harmonised. The ox tail is very well cooked, soft and tender for sure, the sauce mixed well with the natural collagen of the meat makes it perfect. The grill squid is one of my favourite, the price is Β£9 but it comes with 6~7 squids, very good in value, but most of all the taste is amazing. You can taste the freshness of the squid, you can taste the sea with the bite of it and the sauce makes a perfect combo. You will sure want to lack the plate to finish every single bit of the dish and sauce. Mon - Thurs all day 20% off offers saves a lot !!!

The service was great! Had lovely conversation with the chef who is from Barcelona, and the service staff who is also Spanish! We ordered the steak paella and it was delightful! Full of flavours of the beef and various spices that unfold as you bite into the rice! The rice was nice and crisp and flavourful till the last bite! You can tell that the chef loves to cook and he checked in on us a lot! The croquette was really crispy and rich. The octopus was a nice complexity of flavour. From the sweetness of the octopus, to the punch of garlic sauce and the earthiness of the mash! A great combination altogether! The atmosphere was really nice! Fit for a cosy intimate wedding

Our first visit and didnβt disappoint! The service was only matched by the excellent tapas! Donβt miss this slightly out of the way top of the line Spanish restaurant in Bath. We left full and happy. Amazing!

This was a small Spanish restaurant located on basement floor, you enter through a stairs and through a wine store into a cosy restaurant. The staff are both friendly and attentive with a good wine selection and sangaria tasting great! We had 6 dishes between two of us and that was plenty of food. The olives where big and packed full of flavour. Other highlights were the iberica ham with blue cheese and the croquettes both of which could melt in your mouth. The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars was the patatas bravas. Normally these are my favourite dish however I found them bland and lacking flavour. All in all a good experience and I would recommend.

Cute underground restaurant in Bath. I had a quick bite there this week before heading back to London. Ordered their sangria, Spanish omelette and duck confit. I enjoyed the omelette better, as the duck was a tad dry and the skin wasn't crispy enough. However, I still recommend it as the service was friendly and attentive.
