Stunning, really enjoyed and the garden is so beautiful. Food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. I hope to have the good fortune to return.
We went here for Easter Sunday Lunch. The pub itself and the garden is stunning. It makes a perfect place to chill in the sun with drinks or food. I had the roast dinner which I wasn't too keen on myself. I found the beef didn't have much flavour, some veggies were a bit too Al dente and the potatoes had too much flavours. Having horseraddish on the plate wasn't great for me as I wanted to try it but it spread over my veg and I didn't like the taste. The crispy parnips in the yorkie was a nice change. The service and food came very quickly. My sister had the Berry crumble which looked very tasty and she enjoyed very much.

We recently had the immense pleasure of celebrating our wedding at The Crown at Kelston, and we can genuinely say it was the most perfect day imaginable, largely thanks to the incredible team there. From our very first contact, we dealt with Neve, who was absolutely brilliant. Neve made the planning process seamless and stress-free. In the lead-up to the wedding, everything ran so smoothly that we genuinely didn't have to think about a single thing on the day itself – a true gift for any couple! Neve even coordinated directly with our florist, two musicians, the stretch tent company, and our cake supplier on the morning of the wedding, ensuring all suppliers were perfectly in sync without us lifting a finger. Whatever our request, big or small, nothing was ever an issue for Neve and the team. They were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. On the day of the wedding, the staff worked effortlessly from start to finish. Their attentiveness, efficiency, and friendly demeanour were remarkable, ensuring all our guests were well looked after and the celebration flowed beautifully. And we must mention, the food was absolutely amazing – a real highlight that all our guests raved about! The atmosphere was exactly what we dreamed of, and every detail was handled with precision and care. We cannot recommend The Crown highly enough for any event, especially a wedding. If you're looking for a venue where you can relax and truly enjoy your special day, knowing everything is in expert hands, look no further! Lovely dog-friendly pub with a garden. Staff were very kind and service was quick. We stayed for a bit to watch a game and enjoyed a quick lunch after doing the walk up Roundhill. Food was absolutely delicious. Gorgeous spot!
We dropped in for lunch today on the off chance they had a table. They managed to fit us in to their new garden room. Both the food and service were excellent. Very comfortable, I am looking forward to my next visit.
The garden and garden room are beautiful. The flowers are stunning. This place is a total gem. The food is quite pricey but it is very good so well worth it for a one off treat. The bloody Mary was delicious and we went for a nice walk to the cheese factory afterwards (5min walk). A wonderful afternoon.
Excellent food! We had the steak, the duck and sea bream. It was all delicious. Such a treat! Well worth the visit. The desserts were great too. Friendly staff.
I love this place so much. Always leave feeling ‘so glad we came here again!’ We stopped off in hope of a table & luckily got one in the garden. Staff are lovely, the garden is so nicely done & the food…. This is all the Sunday starters ordered as a main for 2 plus chips. So so good!
You can't beat a country pub with a roaring fire, good beer and excellent food. It's worth waiting for this time of year, not sure if it's better than summer outside with chilled cider? The pork belly with black pudding, roast veg and mustard mash was excellent. Can't wait for the winter warmer to be available!
