Try to call as didn’t inform on online checkout that items not available today . Phone service unbelievable frustrating, employ some humans instead of cheap automatic version .

Appalling customer service. We bought a new TV and it was delivered damaged on the 7th October Tuesday. Right away I contacted Argos for a replacement, but was told its out of stock now, so need to wait a couple of days until its back in stock (the first lie). On tje 12th October Friday I saw it being back in stock on the website so I asked for an update on my replacement and the lying continued saying its not back on stock for replacements only for new buyers. What kind of business model is this? You absolutely don't value your customers. They wanted to trick me into getting a refund instead, so I can repurchase the TV, because surprise-surprise, it was more expensive now. That's what the Consumer Duty calls causing financial harm btw, Argos... There were lots of other lies after this, but eventually I took the refund and bought the TV someplace else. Good job loosing a customer! Final lie was on 12th October Sunday promising that they will send me a gift card withing 48 "working hours" as a compensation for my bad experiemce. I guess that means 6 working days? Anyway, here we are 8 working days later on the 22nd October Weddnesday, and there is no gift card of course. I requested the transcripts of each chat conversations and from the 5-6 I had, I only received one. But did not expect anything else from these liars. You need to take a good look at your service Argos. I will be contacting the Ombudsman/FCA with this.

Liz the manager is not a nice human. I ordered two items in one order. One order, not two. But they sent half to be picked up. Didn’t make it clear in a messages, and all Liz kept saying was, you should’ve checked the order numbers as they’re different. Why would I want two separately if I placed ONE order? It never mentioned delivery or pickup 1 of 2. One digit different in the order numbers. One message was wait for a text confirmation. The next was, your order is ready. Would never think it would be two orders for one order placed of the exact same item. She was arrogant. Cancelled my order one second after I said well I’ll probably need to cancel it all as I don’t want to travel in here twice. Next words out my mouth were, I’ll call my partner to check, and she had clicked the cancel button already. She couldn’t wait. So obviously I thought she’d cancelled the WHOLE ORDER. No, she let me walk away without the item that was sat there, knowing fully that I should’ve taken it and it was the other she had cancelled. Utter horror of a human. And she couldn’t wait to tell me she was the manager. She was rolling her eyes constantly when I asked if she could see my point, as someone who doesn’t work at Argos - that I placed ONE order and would never expect two separate pickups. “No, I don’t. I would’ve obviously checked the order number”. She was honestly horrible, and knew what she was doing letting me think she’d cancelled it all and let me walk off without the item. Very manipulative and vindictive. Argos, get rid of that woman before she loses you more money.

Truly shocking store. No manager in to deal with refunds your told to come back. Twice I've been in now and despite their customer service AND Samsung saying yes one of the managers said no I'd have to come in the next day they have procedures but the answer was still likely to be no?! What the actual? I feel dreadful for their staff. I've contacted their head office as this whole situation was resolved until I was confronted with her.

Wanting to buy a new TV I checked availability to collect in store as I was paying with cash. So of I trot to make my purchase only to let down when checking on in store computer OUT OF STOCK in bright red letters. You might think that bad enough when I got home again I once more checked on line and you've guested it TV was available for in store collection. Argos like many stores don't want to be bothered with old fashioned transactions like cash.

If I could give more stars I would. Absolutely fantastic service. I am sorry I do not know the names of the 2 guys who served me (it took over an hour to find my FT number as my phone died.) but they did not give up. they went over and above. If management by any chance read this, I was in at 7pm on Thursday 25/08/22. Huge gold stars to your staff.

Bought what I thought was a brand new Nintendo switch for an Xmas present when opening on Xmas day item was not only not packaged properly inside box but it had 3 people's accounts and other games loaded so wasn't new and was also faulty. Absolutely disgusted awaiting store to open to return
