A great beer, I dont remember what the kind was, and craced for scotch egg at night and they happened to have them we gave it a try, not bad at all. The staff was lovely, we enjoyed our visit.
Fantastic full Scottish breakfast with comfortable surrounding and warm service. Latte tastes great. Looking forward to having dinner here.

On the busy royal mile street in Edinburgh it's hard to know the good from the bad, but this pub is definitely in the good category. Our wait staff was fast and friendly. Our food was good quality and came out in a reasonable time frame. Also, very close to Edinburgh Castle. Would highly recommend.
The food is absolutely amazing, and I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try Scottish cuisine. I especially loved the haggis, neeps, and tatties and the traditional Yorkshire pudding. The atmosphere is also great, and the service is incredibly warm, fast, and professional. Thanks for such excellent service. Overall, this is a wonderful experience and one of the most memorable parts of my trip in Edinburgh.
Sat on the terrace. It had nice atmosphere a slight breeze with awesome scenery. Had the Highlander burger and 3 pints of local ale and lager. The food portions are generous. The Highlander Burger was a burger topped with a haggis patty. Didn't quite go with the burger. Eaten separately it was delicious as was the burger. The staff was friendly and prompt with service. Reasonably priced.
A great pub near the castle. They were able to easily seat a group of 8. Service, beer & food were great. Highly recommend getting the lamb shank. No reservation needed
I really enjoyed the food a the atmosphere here. All the time when we visit Edinburgh, we eat at this place. They have great food and I like that the serve local beer. It is exactly at the base of the castle and after you have finished visiting the castle, here is the perfect place to eat. You don't have to wait long for food and the employees are very kind and friendly. I'll be back whenever I get the chance.
Great Scottish food. The steak was cooked exactly as I like it. Could have been spiced or salted a bit but I was able to spruce it up a bit myself. My girlfriend has the yorkshire pudding and really enjoyed the flavor. The drinks were good as well! The staff was friendly, though it gets a little crazy as it appears teens are running the place. So they're a little rambunctious but they get the job done.
We popped into The Castle Arms during our visit to Edinburgh. We wanted to try the haggis and maybe something else local. The vibe is nice. There's a TV screen to watch sport. It wasn't loud at all, we could talk all the time with no problems even though the match was on. The food was tasty and quick to come. The staff was friendly (our waitress seemed a bit inexperienced but that's not a problem). At the end, the price was appropriate. It's a nice place to stop by if you want to quickly eat some local food and maybe watch some sport.
