The bartender was very knowledgeable about the different whiskeys available and the place was cozy for a solo traveler to stop and grab a drink.
The best pub in Edinburgh. We arrived and asked for help choosing a whisky, as we were newbies. The girl who was that night working (Monday night!) was so sweet with us and treated us like locals. We stayed there like if it was our home. The live music was incredible and we came back the night before our flight. I will miss this place with my heart!
Wonderful pub for drinks and hanging out with friends. Local music on Wednesdays. The bartenders are wonderful and they know their scotch!
Amazing pub! We stopped by after a long day running errands and were met with a great ambiance. The beers on tap were delicious! The staff is frie day and polite. Amenities are clean. Love the decor, such a cool place!
Was wonderful to participate in our first pub quiz (and not coming in plumb last). The bar food was good (esp the chicken wings) and the IPAs were superb. The pub quiz was really fun and we hope to take part in one again soon!
Very helpful bar tenders, eager to take you on a journey through the whisky's. I was a novice and they took their time explaining all about different types of whisky and the region's of Scotland they were made in. Since the first flight of whisky's was such a succes, we decided to go for another. You just give them a budget you're willing to spend and they give you the best the have accordingly. 10/10 would recommend!
Yummy Pizza, but I felt the place was a bit overhyped reading the rest of the reviews. The crust for me wasn’t quite at a 5 star level. Service is good, staff is friendly. Rectangular pizzas are quirky, but it somehow feels like less pizza than normal. I was still hungry after my one, this could just be me! A good selection of drinks.
Amazing place live.scottish music will take you the the sky of high land. They have some beautiful art on each wall , a welcoming staff and they have some good Scottish beer . You must visit this place . One of my favorites.
Stopped by for a weekday lunch and really enjoyed everything about it. Chill vibes, outdoor seating, friendly helpful service, local beer offerings, plenty of whiskey (not just scotch! They had a few bourbons too), food was tasty. They had vegetarian options, and the chips were delicious. Perfect spot for a good beer and simple food sitting outside on a nice day.
