Excellent little pub in New Town. Usually very busy on weekends and the odd weekday. Best to head as early as reasonable for a pint. Nice selection of ales as well as lagers, IPAs etc on tap. Very cosy inside so be prepared to stand and wait for a seat. Also met tbe previous owner, and if they're still coming you know its a great pub. Fires on in the winter, with a selection of books and games in 'cosy' the back room. Great pub, always love coming here.

The cutest bar in Edinburgh? Could well be. Reminds me of a quality Irish country pub, but located within the grandure of the New Town area. Coal fire, quality beers, friendly service... but most of all a cosy small bar where to be "trapped" inside with friends because of inclement weather would be my idea of heaven.

A brilliant and cosy pub, away from the throng. Superb service with friendly locals and dogs. The whisky selection, oh Lord, the whisky selection..... Enjoy. M

If you want a true local adult only pub experience, come here. They have cheap steak pie and good pints. The environment is cozy and full of locals. Definitely worth the visit as a tourist.

Just a drinking pub with crisps and nuts on offer. Small place lots of atmosphere and always get to chat to somebody new here. There is s large selection of ales , beers and lagers on offer. There is also a long list of single malt and blended whiskeys. Place is very popular and have never visited it when it is quiet.

First time here with a friend, though I'd planned to go previously. I'm just that bit far away, so taxi needed. Very small, but lovely, old boozer with selection of real ales. Low ceilings. Small back room also with a library of books. I think I saw an observant landlord, but not sure. The locals seemed like a good bunch and friendly. The pub looks to be very old, but I don't know the history. Looks at least early Victorian but my guess is earlier still.

Shhh don't tell anyone about one of the best kept secret bars. Friendly staff, great selection of big name and Scottish beers, a range of whiskey bar none, and the best filled rolls around.

Small little pub on a backstreet. Had a nice pint and the wife enjoyed a delicious cider. We stopped in to get a meal but they only serve food on specific days and times. The bartender did direct us to another spot after our pints to get some food in our belly

Fabulous small bar with attentive staff. A proper pub to relax in off the main drag, nice, quiet and relaxing with a good crowd.
