   Edit: 18 months later I’m still fixing problems caused by this disaster of a design! I’ve had to rip out half the kitchen. Horrified with my kitchen from here. The designer made so many mistakes. He put 2,300mm tall units in my kitchen that almost touch the ceiling. He measured up wrong, he put the wrong depths of wall units in, he put the wrong hob in, he put the wrong washing machine in, he put the wrong sink in. I’ve also lost a lot of worktop space. Even on the sunniest days I still need to turn the lights on because it’s so dark. The wall unit door hits me in the face because they’re so deep, if I take step back I can’t reach it! The manager tried to help fix some things but I’m still disappointed. Ive had to fork out more cash to try fix it. I’ve been wanting a new kitchen for over 10 years and my heart sinks every time I walk into this one. I never expected this from Howdens.

   I visited Howdens at Thornliebank on 2nd Feb 2021 and was greeted by a warm welcome from a guy who named himself as " Bob the Builder " seriously. I was on the look out for light bulbs to which were discontinued and none in stock, however, this guy chose to go above and beyond and contacted East Kilbride and Hamilton Howdens to which they had some still in stock. I purchased these and " Bob the Builder " liaised with the other stores to reserve them for me to pick up. I was delighted with my customer service experience and will broadcast this around the retail market. This guy deserves employee of the month. A fixed asset to your company. The only negative feedback that I must share with you is that Howdens could NOT have these light bulbs from the other stores delivered to Thornliebank for me to pick up as there was a cost attached.

   Couldn't find the order when we arrived. Once they had found the order they kindly took it out to the car for us. Once we got home we found the open packet of laminate had bashed ends and corners. Would have been two stars for this if our joiner hadn't been able to fit these peices into all the bits that needed cuts.

   We literally just left this location. We wanted to look at a few models of kitchen cabinets and countertops. There was no one to assist or to take our questions. We rang the counter bell- no response. We could see three people behind a glass door chatting away-did not take time to come to the counter to meet us. Off we went to the next joiner.... Disappointing.....
