This is probably my favourite pub in the south side of the city. I come here maybe once every other week to enjoy a cigar in the beer garden as they have a sheltered area with heat lamps so itβs great to sit out here, no matter the weather! I have always found that the staff are really welcoming, friendly and kind and service is always quick, even on the busier times such as Friday and Saturday night! This pub has a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, alongside a great food menu with huge variety of different cooked foods for a great price! I had the macaroni and cheese which was cooked perfectly and served within 10-15 minutes of ordering. If youβre looking for a friendly pub, great affordable food and drinks options, bus stops right by the door and a train stop within a 5 minutes walk, then I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great evening!! Thank you :)

Large bar/restaurant. It's a Greene King bar with a similar menu to other such restaurants. App to order from your table. The bacon and blue burger was great. Okay Sunday roast. Nice design and look. Bathrooms could use some updating and better attention. A lot of TVs to watch sports on.

Attended the wonderful family fun day on 18/12/2023. Everything was really well done. Food was yummy. The 2 girls running the event and the dj were fabulous. The children really enjoyed the games and the grinch coming to give them generous goodie bags.

Understaffed, didn't get function suite we booked for a funeral, placed in the bar with other customers, overpriced finger buffet for 25 people Β£285 We booked the function suite for approximately 40 people for Tues 25th Oct. On arrival we were seated at one end of the bar. There were 2 waitresses serving us, rushed off their feet and wouldn't have time to have a chat with. When asked for the bill, there was a breakdown, and at the bottom it stated finger buffet for 25 Β£285, we were quoted Β£7.95 ph

August 2021 update: Food is even better than before and the pub is just as cosy as it's always been. It's very clean and eating and drinking outside when the sun is out is glorious. Attached a photo of the sirloin steak. I like it well done and it's still juicy. I highly recommend the sautΓ©ed mushrooms to go with it. -------------------- Delicious cheap Scottish breakfast. I've had food here several times before and it's been perfect every time. Chicken fajitas are my favourite. Beautiful steak and ale pie, too!
