Absolutely awful customer service. Had huge issues with a Sony Bravia TV bought Nov 24 where the sound disappeared in Dec 25. JL sent repair engineer who said they needed a new sound circuit board and the repair would be effected after Xmas. Have been given repair visit dates of 2/1, 5/1 and 8/1/26. Repair company say they have no ETA for component and not a dog Mickie bird from JL. Tried to escalate the case to no avail as the form on the website to raise the issue doesn’t accept the case number JL supplied, still waiting for a response from JL. Their great customer service is s myth.

John Lewis may not always be the most affordable option, but it truly sets itself apart with exceptional quality and service. Offering a diverse range of premium products, including home goods, clothing, and electronics, this store ensures you’ll find exactly what you need. While the prices can be on the higher side, the investment is worth it for the outstanding durability, thoughtful design, and timeless appeal of their items. Their online ordering system is particularly noteworthy, making shopping even more convenient. With the option to order online and collect in store, you can avoid the hassle of long queues and enjoy a seamless experience tailored to your schedule.

DON'T USE John Lewis. They're are a complete joke. As first time parents, we was excited to go and shop for a pram for our up and coming twin girls and after been recommended John Lewis baby department was very good, we decided to go. Although the in shop experience was excellent, staff was exceptional, listening to our needs and giving good input and advise, it soon went wrong when it came to having items delivered. Oh boy, did it go wrong! We was recommended by the John Lewis staff that the i-Candy Peach is the best for our needs and at over £2000, it wasn't excatly cheap. We also purchased a Me to you cot. With a 15% discount the bill still came to over £1980.00. Eye watering amount for a pram. With delivery arranged, we waited with anticipation for the twins pram and cot to arrive.... John Lewis at first gave a 2 hour time window for delivery, on a Tuesday and having to work, to pay for the items, this was poor in my opinion, as it never gave us time for a relative to be in to accept the item. With the pram rearranged for the Friday, again the excitement boiled for the pram to be delivered by John Lewis. For the second time, this did not happen. Only worse, they never turned up at all. Not even a text. Very frustrated, I quickly complained and rightly so; alot of money had changed hands, and up to now, no item arrived. I felt at this point John Lewis had swindled me out of near £2000. Again, an apology was offered and a new day set. For Tuesday 26/08/25. The day had come, pram was on its way and a text the night before confirming this. The pram arrived, and it looked like it had come to the property via a war zone!!!! As you can see on the pictures, boxes smashed, opened and taped up and PARTS MISSING!!!! Discussed, I rang John Lewis, who I have no faith with, and to be honest always have had a bad experience with (TV many years ago) I would not recommend these at all. They did offer a partial refund if I opened up the Pram, but with parts already missing and again packaging so damaged you could see the items inside, I wanted a full refund. They, John Lewis, are picking the items up Friday. Whether that happens remains to be seen, but mark my words, i'll never buy from this retailer again!!!!

We always delighted when we are in this shop, you can find everything, special for my baby, the sales are amazing! As clothes its high quality and lower price those days, their events are very enjoyable, one thing surprise me from this shop as l have been in Solihull and Birmingham, its very clean and tidy and no matter how busy can be, ladies always smiling you, had an incident with my condition and immediately was assisted, managers very fast taking actions for events like this, definitely a shop u must go if you in Liverpool ♥️

Dianne who works at the Tom Ford section was absolutely brilliant! My boyfriend went in to buy my birthday present and she was so helpful and lovely. I then went in myself a few days later for her to do my makeup, she was the utmost professional, knew all the details about the products used and was so friendly. Could not say enough good things about her, she is a credit to John Lewis and to Tom Ford. (Dianne, I’m sorry it’s taken a few weeks to do this!)

We had an appointment with Keri in the Nursery department as we are expecting our first baby and looking for a pram and car seat. Keri was absolutely sensational from beginning to end. She knew everything, had studied my details so knew what I would be looking for and was just lovely at the same time. We spent nearly 2 hours with Keri but it felt like 2 minutes. Would highly recommend booking the appointment for new parents and if you can, ask for Keri as she was brilliant.

Terrible service. My laptop broke two months ago and was covered under the guarantee. I took it in and it took them 2 months to fix it! When I got it back they had fixed the issue but then had broken the keyboard and it was usable. I brought it back and told that it needed to be sent off to be fixed again! When I asked the manager for a new laptop because they’d broken it and they had broken the guarantee I was told that it was my issue! I explained that I had a 10,000 word essay due in for uni and I needed a laptop the manager just said it wasn’t her problem even though they broke the guarantee by breaking the laptop! The manager refused take any accountability for their mistake or honour the guarantee. The way the manager spoke to me was disgraceful . She belittled me and made me feel like it was my fault for complaining. The fact that John Lewis pride themselves and sell themselves on good customer service is a joke. Warning would not buy anything from them again.

I went shopping with my bubbly 3 year old granddaughter.. I wish I had 3 pairs of hands! Having thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas dept we arrived at the cafe. I wasn't sure how I'd manage but needn't have worried as one of the fab ladies organised a tray carrier, a table with an interesting view and generally made life so much easier... Well done John Lewis... we'll be back

Bribed to go shopping, we all "popped" into John Lewis. I like shopping when it's delivered. But I must admit it was a pleasant experience. A lady called Jane went above and beyond to help mum. I still turned into a mobile coat hanger but was adequately compensated with a cold beer later! Plenty of items for the wife and mum to buy as "we need them!" Well-presented and easily moved-around displays with a wheelchair and mum and her faithful walking stick. They can't wait to go back, I'll end up being a human mobile wardrobe. On a bloke plus note by the changing (mind) rooms, they have a seating area. Where all men can sit patiently adding up the damage to our credit card!
