Absolutely disgusting! Do not use this shop! My 70 year old mother in law, who lives around the corner and has done for 20 years, went there today to pay her tv licence and the man who works there said to her ‘ you only come here to pay this and don’t buy anything, now get out of the shop and don’t come back’ what an absolute muppet!
Small convenience store in the vicinity. Been few times to buy breakfast stuff like bread and milk.
We have to pop in every so often with delivery parcels if UPS has already been to the office and we find the owners lovely to deal with. The shop is very well presented and full of products.
Pretty grubby shop, needs a little tlc. Certainly raking in the cash, maybe put some money into the exterior and interior. Check date on milk/food. Not always in date. Staff not happy to replace goods.
**Avoid using as a delivery point*** My experience at this as a DHL service point was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Upon arriving at the service point to collect my parcel for the second time, I encountered unwelcoming, impolite, and unhelpful staff. Despite the parcel being delivered six days earlier, I was informed that they hadn't received it ( no DHL here as per him). Even after confirming with DHL customer service that the parcel had indeed been received, the staff at the service point refused to cooperate. This forced me to involve customer service over the phone, and only after their intervention did the staff finally acknowledge that they had the parcel. The salesman at the service point was particularly rude and adamant that he had no DHL parcels, even refusing to acknowledge the pickup code. I had to call customer services, and they had to speak to him. Only after they sent me a picture of the parcel being delivered to his counter did he reluctantly start looking for it. Eventually, he found the parcel but refused to hand it over without an ID. He rejected my credit card, my NHS ID, and even a photo of my passport. It was only after I presented my driving license photo that he agreed to proceed. However, he then claimed that he couldn't find my name on the parcel because there is a sticker on it and insisted on the tracking number, refusing to use the pickup code. Finally, they handed over the parcel without even bothering to ask for the code. This entire experience left me feeling unsafe and deeply dissatisfied. Immediate action should be taken to address the unprofessional behaviour at this service point. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this particular DHL service point.
