We had such a great dinner at Wildfire. My husband had the rib-eye steak and said it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. I had the prawn main, which was super fresh and tasted amazing, and the rocket salad on the side was a perfect match. For dessert, I had the best baked cheesecake I’ve ever had, and my husband enjoyed his sticky toffee pudding. Service was genuinely friendly from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful dinner at Wildfire — the skewer was delicious, the sea bream perfectly cooked, and the local beer really tasty. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, and the service extremely friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

A steak restaurant in a cozy setting serving Scottish beef and seafood. I arrived without reservation but was able to be seated. I had the Cullen skink to start, which is a traditional smoked haddock chowder style fish stew and was delighted by how good it was with the smoked fish flavour really coming through. For my main I had the 12oz Ribeye which is also served with a side salad. When it first arrived I was a little underwhelmed by appearance alone but that opinion would soon change. It was seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare and had an appropriate amount of fat and marbling. I have eaten my fair share of higher end steaks - usually dry-aged ribeye - and I have to admit that this was one of the best tasting steaks I've ever had. The dressing on the side salad was good as well, tasting like it was a raspberry and mustard cider vinaigrette. The service was polite, attentive but not overbearing. My expectations were not that high given that the restaurant is located on a strip that is a bit touristy and the pubs and restaurants presumably cater to visitors staying at nearby hotels, but my expectations were exceeded. I found both the food and the service to be excellent.

Fabulous! My husband and his friend had steak, which they said was cooked to perfection. The Shetland mussels (in cider and shallot cream) were absolutely beautiful. Good wine selection too. Quaint, cozy little place, booking is advisable therefore. Excellent service. Highly recommend!!

A cozy and lovely restaurant. The small space makes you warm, especially on a winter night. I had a Scottish smoked salmon with prawns and was splendid. I was lucky to find a table available.

Called ahead to book a table for a larger group. This is probably a must as the restaurant has limited seating so if you're coming at a busy time please do book ahead. The staff were nice throughout the visit not outstanding but pleasant enough. Yes the price is a little steep however that is totally understandable when you try their food. The food was exceptional and made me completely forget about the cost! 100% will be recommending to those that like steak and seafood

I last visited Wildfire back in 2018 and it’s still excellent. The place looks to have been redecorated and the overall ambience is lovely inside. The food and service were excellent. We started with the Arbroath Smokey followed by a rib eye and the fish pie. All dishes were perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. We finished with the warm chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was excellent and we can’t wait to return next time we’re in Edinburgh.
