So typical spoons, cheap and cheerful.i went for the 3 small plates for about 14 quid.probably some of the better microwaved food I've had in spoons.place is always got tables full of the previous people's stuff.although on this visit there was a person walking round with a brush and pan but they were putting the effort in of somebody that had had an amazing night before,I won't say this is a bad thing as we've all been young and done it. Table service for drinks was quick and efficient won't go to the bar as people like to stand in a que here and I don't like that.

Nice place. Fire in winter months. Sun trap beer garden for the summer. Typical spoons, toilet is miles away

Went during mid afternoon so was somewhat quiet when we first arrived, does fill up with families after school is out though. Decent place and spacious, other than that is what one would expect from a Weatherspoons only difference here is that staff are actually friendly and not like majority of what you would experience in London.

Use this place frequently, staff pleasant. Food served reasonably quick. Atmosphere on 3 stars as a rowdy group of guys ....we only had the choice of ground floor seating as upstairs was closed..except for toilet access....which would have been good if they had stated downstairs that upstairs was closed.

Over the years, I have breakfasted here, but never really been enthusiastic with the offerings. The food comes out tepid and clearly has been under a hot lamp for some while. It's not 'send-it-back' bad, just not good enough to enthuse over. Inexpensive, however. One cannot cavil about the price. The young staff were efficient and clearly customer focused and service was prompt.

One of the nicer of many 'Spoons' that I've been to. Many different areas with different atmospheres (don't miss the cosy section upstairs if downstairs is busy.) Pleasant secluded garden when it's better weather, plus some interesting history!!

No manner staff! I ordered a drink with one of the staff and came back to the bar but wasn't sure if the drink was mine (the staff I ordered wasn't there) and the drink doesn't look like from the picture in the menu. So I asked the another staff at the bar near by if this drink was mine. The short-hair lady in red jumper yelled at me that "I didn't serve you!".... I was shocked that this employee had no manners to talk to. As I walked out, I did say thank you. I'm sad that the staff took such a temper towards me.

Update 4* Actually have ketchup now. Food still good but was very busy Original 3* The food was nice but had no ketchup which ruined it a bit but I like how there are areas of this pub that are quiet and out of the way which helps when having a meeting here with someone. The acoustics are bad here the sound bounces around making it loud so then people get to talk louder to hear each other and it just gets worse so if you're sensitive to loud noise I recommend finding a quieter area or visit during quieter times. I do like this wetherspoon but feel out of all the ones they have this one I can't really see anything that shows what the building was originally used for like all the other wetherspoon pubs I've been to.

Poor food and poor response to correcting their poor food. My turkey was crunchy from where it had been under a grill too long. Smaller amount of gravy and cranberry sauce than my partner. The peas were like bullets (I like crunchy veg but these were uncooked!) and the stuffing was excessively salty. Also no mayonnaise on the premises! Have visited before but won't be returning!!!

This is a place I visit a lot since it's opening about 4 years ago. You get good value for money. However standards of service are slightly going down. Cleanliness too needs to get back to what it was when it started. I am not sure this is because of staff shortages, however things need to change before it gets worse.
