I had my birthday party in the Long Room and it was great we could decorate it, had djs and our own space. Was really easy to organise and the staff were lovely
Nicely decorated cosy pub . On main road so constant noise from traffic . Was different amounts for each round despite being same drinks . Toilets are clean and chill atmosphere
I had my 36th birthday at the Dark Horse in the Long Room event space. We all had a blast. There were about 40 of us, and the Long Room proved a great space for a medium-size gathering. The staff were really helpful, the space was a good size, and it just worked really well. Thank you!
A delightful pub serving great beer, excellent outdoor seating. The bedroom was pretty awful with a TV smaller than the bracket holding it up, cables dangling. Signs of damp. Kettle worn out. The bed was comfortable but some springs were broken. The bathroom was good. Not recommended for overnight stays
Hired the function room for a birthday party and the space was great! Good sized room for 30-40 people, was able to bring in the sound system and only needed to add a little bit to the decoration which was already nice. The staff was very friendly and the smoking garden is great to transition from the late afternoon into the evening. Lovely place!
This is the most beautifully atmospheric pub in Bristol. It's so warm and welcoming on the inside and is a really lovely place to sit in for a drink (and playing from the many board games they have). Plus this is dog friendly and I think sometimes my dogs might enjoy coming here more than I do!
What an a amazing place to go to for a Sunday Roast! Compliments to the chef/chefs and the service by the dark haired waitress (didn’t catch her name) and the rest of the staff! We went in on a Sunday with a party of 11 and they accommodated for us superbly. The service was top notch and the food was delicious! For the roast you have the option of either beef, lamb, pork or all three which is known as the Triple Threat - a great addition! I would highly recommend this place!
Had an amazing Sunday roast here today! The staff were very friendly and the food amazing! I’m gluten free and my partner vegan and they catered perfectly for both and were very reassuring. Great atmosphere every-time I’ve been here. Would recommend definitely recommend!
Lovely local, traditional style pub on Church Road. Fantastic outdoor space and the staff here are very good and attentive. The Sunday Roasts here are amazing and great value. Lots of vegetables with your choice of meat (Beef, Lamb & Pork) or vegatarian / vegan and the portions are very generous too.
