I had the worst time in Glasgow and decided to go home the next day but wanted dinner. Last minute, I came here. It was mostly empty when I came (around 4?) After being told I needed a reservation... ok.. I just was like duck it, let's just eat here. We ordered something for two, and you get a good amount of sides. Steak at medium rare. It was ok. But the best experience was our server. I think his name is Matthew? At least, it says that on the receipt. But he was extremely nice, and he explained everything to us - why the two for one cocktail is not a real deal that they have (they received menus from England) and other stuff. I'm not being facetious, he was legit the only kind person we have experienced from Glasgow that evening. Thank you for making our evening pleasant! Oh, highly recommend people to sign up on their website. You get a good discount deal that way :)

Very disappointed indeed. I upgraded to a filet steak which was not good. Very low quality meat - grisly, thin and not cooked how I asked. The "hand cut chips" were actually frozen. The camembert starter was lovely though. It was a waste of Β£36 sadly.

Our steaks were out of this world. Shoana was absolutely lovely and made us feel well looked after. One of our new favourite places to eat. Superb!

We really enjoyed it! The food, the service, the atmosphere, the decor and layout - everything was excellent. The starters were delicious especially the salt & pepper squid and the Asian crispy beef which we shared with halloumi fries. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Minimal fat, soft juicy meat and very tasty. The beef dripping sauce arrives cold and almost tastes like a brown sauce when you sample it but with the meat and the chips etc. it tastes delicious. My only gripe with most steakhouses is the plates are served quite bare. Itβs steak and chips. Even a quarter of a tomato would go a long way but I am not complaining. I thoroughly enjoyed every last bite of food. Service was excellent. Not pressured. Not rushed. Not too slow. I think the staff membersβ name was Andrew. A gentleman! We didnβt get a pudding but I did treat myself to a cocktail. Thereβs plenty to choose from and it was the perfect end to our meal.

First time trying here and will definitely be back. Party of 5 and we all absolutely loved our food. The steak sampler was lovely and a really good portion. Service very good and staff lovely too. So glad I tried here as itβs a new favourite!

I just loved the maple leaf earrings! :-) We're back in the US, thinking about our Mom/Son trip to Scotland. My kiddo turned 18 while we were there. Big birthday celebration with just him was a beautiful bonding experience. Out last night was the best. We had dinner at Bar + Block. I was looking for something a bit nicer than a pub (no offense, I love pubs!), but not something requiring formal/evening. You guys knocked it out of the park. The steaks were great! (that's a huge compliment coming from a Texan.) The sides were great and we loved the atmosphere (especially the lights I'm including. Brilliant design!) But above all that, the staff was so friendly and endearing. Their interactions finished off a beautiful night with my baby boy. Thanks, yall! Keep up the great work.

The service was friendly but the food wasnβt as good. I ordered the 3 course festive menu for Β£27.95. The starter was Prawns and Scallops. It tasted quite bland as it needed a sauce or butter with it. It was served with garlic bread which I thought was a strange combination. I ordered the Turkey for main. The meat was so tough and dry, it was also served with only a dribble of gravy, they should have definitely served more gravy. It would have also been nice of the Christmas dinner was served with Mashed Potatoes. The dessert was a cheeseboard. This was nice as I guess you canβt go wrong with a cheeseboard, although they only brought out the chutney halfway through eating it.

My food was good but my husband did not enjoy his steak. Steak knives were blunt. We were in a table in the back corner of the restaurant and service was poor, despite being quiet. We had to wait on ordering extra drinks, (our glasses were empty for a while). We then ordered dessert, which had taken 20 minutes to served at the table. Although not completely bad dining experience, I won't return in a hurry.

We stumbled across this place after another restaurant nearby was closed. My burger was somehow bitter tasting, but Iβm not reducing the review stars for that as there might have been an ingredient in the burger that I wasnt aware of. However the fries were just bad. And the meals are a bit overpriced for what they offer. The place looks nice but it was almost empty when we visited and based on the reviews, other possible customers had the same impression as me.

Not a bad restaurant for a hotel grill. I had the mixed grill which was ok. The meat was flamed grilled and quite tasty. The menu said 1/4 beer can chicken, which seemed to mean 1/4 of a breast, and a giant smoky sausage, which I would definitely not describe as giant. It doesn't have the greatest selection of beers on tap, but a good selection of bottles. Overall I felt it was a bit overpriced for what I got, but decent for a quick bite if you're staying nearby.
