The way that the gym is ran is just awful. There are junior session all hours of the day monitored by a staff member, which takes up most of the gym space. Annoying but understandable. What is unacceptable is that the kids would be rude and not know proper gym etiquette. Is that not something the staff needs to also teach them? When I was waiting for an equipment, the kid said he had three sets so I waited but by the time he was done he just let his mate use it? The coach saw the whole thing and didn’t say a word. Multiple similar instances has happened and the staff say absolutely nothing. Awful managing!

Honestly this pool is a hidden gem in the middle of Edinburgh tucked conveniently behind Haymarket Station. I went at 9am on Sunday morning and was surprised at how busy it was. The group of older gents in the early morning queue were super friendly and jolly and I had a nice laugh with one of them about the lockers and someone stealing his shoes (kids, joking). The pool itself is clean and bright and the space is lovely. On poolside changing which is a nod to the victorian baths. Poolside was really clean. Five lanes catering for different speeds. Let me use my finger paddles which was cool. Showers fine on poolside. The other swimmers were lovely, the lifeguard waved goodbye to me when I left. I’ve rarely been in a nicer friendlier environment. The ONLY downside was the steps to get into the pool were really odd and wouldn’t fit someone with not great mobility to get in and out. There was a brilliant cafe near by for my post swim breakfast. I’ll definitely be back when I next visit Edinburgh. Wonderful.

The timetable seems best suit retired persons and kids or someone does not work. I worked till late, not normal 5pm and I hardly get the chance to use the facility. It is hard to find car parking. Staffs are nice ɓut not suitable for working professional. The pool water gets very muggy and warm at night. Best place for minorities groups as they allow to do anything they wany such as allow to take whole lane for their kids to play around when it is lane swimming only while other lanes are so busy. They let's your kids go beyond the point when your kids in armbands and let's you wear your shoes when you suppose to leave them outside in the stairs. Different rules for non English speaking

There are too many people in a small area. You don't have a proper changing area, where you can remove your shoes. You need to take off them near reception before entering. And when you've to leave, you have to dress in a 40-degree environment and then come out in a sweat. It's quite uncomfortable.

Newly refurbished 25m pool with sauna and also private shower and change available. The gym is small but the staff are all very friendly. No need for a coin for the lockers. Check the time table as sometimes classes and family swims are in.

Victorian pool with character. Staff was really nice and helpful. Only gripe was that only 2 lanes were available despite being a lane swimming slot. but since there weren’t many swimmers, this didn’t cause a problem.

I had never been to the gym before, ever, and the staff were phenomenal. So helpful, especially Amber at the pool, made sure I was okay and knew where i was going - she even checked on me as I was leaving to ensure I got on alright. Absolutely recommend - such a great first time experience

Absolutely delightful! The stuff was very friendly and helpful from the receptionist to the lifeguards. Fully functional and clean amenities. All temperatures everywhere were very appropriate for kids too. Very accessible and useful. I loved the generous amount of time allocated for family swimming on the Saturday we went. I am very pleased with the Dalry swimming centre and will recommend it to anyone interested hands down!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
