Since this company have given this depot a facelift, the service has dropped. Did they get rid of their manger. Place looks better but customer service isn’t a focus now.
Kellaway’s yard staff seem characterised by indifference. My patience exhausted this morning, I went a mile along the A4 to a competitor's yard to be greeted by, ‘How can I help you?’, friendly advice, prompt service and a ‘have a good day’ before I went. Customer service matters Kellaway!
Very disappointed, staff are great as a rule, but shouldn't state that a material will be in stock if they don't actually know for sure! I was advised last week that the materials I required would be available on Monday, so when I showed up bright and early on the Tuesday only to be told they are not arriving until Wednesday I was pretty miffed to say the least! An apology was given, but that doesn't alter the fact that this could have cost me a day's wages, and actually caused a problem with my customer! As a sole trader I have a reputation to maintain, so having to tell my customer there was a delay is not acceptable. Luckily Travis Perkins had the stock I required, so the day wasn't a total loss. I was intending using Kellaways regularly as a new customer, but this experience has left a sour taste, so not sure I'll use again. Furthermore the small amount of stock they did have was poor quality, twisted, warped etc! Not a happy chap!!
I always get my building supplies from Kellaway. Not only are their materials of a high standard but their customer service is second to none. I recently had a Dumpy Bag of Blended Topsoil delivered. The driver, Harvey, was great. He was so helpful. The staff working in the shop are the same, in particular Connor and Adam. It is said that “its staff are a company’s greatest asset.” This is certainly true in the case of Kellaway.
Conner responded immediately to our presence. He was very helpful , nothing was too much trouble , he was patient in handling our “pen- pusher” questions and we left chuffed with our decision to drop by at Kelllaway and make a purchase. Well done.
Absolutely top notch building merchants. These guys are helpful, reliable, have excellent customer service and supply good quality products. Delivery drivers are friendly, experienced and helpful whilst the office and yard staff often go out of the way to get you what you need... I try as hard as I can to not go anywhere else! Keep up the good work guys!
WOW !! what a service. We visited the Bath branch on a Friday morning, items delivered on the same afternoon. The driver was very accommodating delivered via a tight back lane.The fence panels are made to a very high standard and are very reasonable priced, also we purchased some sleepers. I would definitely recommend a visit, as all of the staff are very informative and helpful.
Really happy with the friendly staff and quick delivery. No need to go anywhere else if you live in or near Bath.
Customer for many years but no more. I've had a dreadful delivery experience without a word of apology (hence this post). Surly careless rude driver. Damaged timber by careless use of the crane grab and was about to put the lorry stabiliser on a drain cover. Tough machismo posturing at this company and they're not interested unless you're a large builder. A no go zone for domestic customers. Go to one of the multiples instead.
