   Stopped off on the off chance we could get lunch after an aborted trip North. Four of us had superb lunches including fish and chips, chicken supreme and pie of the day/week. Great friendly service from Emma. We will return.

   Lovely dinner at The Methuen. Excellent service, I believe by Carly. It was very reasonable, especially with the 25% on a Wednesday and a £20 drinks voucher as a birthday gift. I couldn't fault it, fab evening!

   We had a family birthday gathering at The Methuen Arms a couple of weeks ago. The rooms were excellent - especially the one we stayed in - in the main building), the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the downstairs bar was really nice and the Green Room was a useful place for us to gather to play games. Breakfasts were really tasty with vegetarian options. We had a birthday dinner on Saturday night - most of us are Venison which was just delicious. Corsham is a lovely little town to visit and we found loads of places nearby - Corsham Hall and gardens, Lacock Abbey and Castle Combe to fill a weekend without even venturing to Bath. Many thanks to the staff at the Methuen Arms for making the stay so enjoyable.

   We had dinner at The Methuen Arms on 24th October. The atmosphere in the hotel and the restaurant was lovely and we were seated in a quiet area, as requested. The food was really, really good and they were very flexible about one of our party having small portions. Our server Chloe was lovely - really friendly and helpful, and the pace of service was just right. We'll definitely be coming back to eat here again!

   We tried a wide array of dishes, from fish and seafood, steak and fish and chips. It was all just… absolutely excellent. I can’t find a single thing that wasn’t just… perfect. Quality, freshness, flavour service selection all get a 10/10. The staff was also very helpful, polite and friendly. Highly recommend you visit if you’re passing through or near Corsham! P.S. I intended to take some pictures of the food but it was just too appetising and I couldn’t hold back long enough.

   We stayed one night at the Methuen and had dinner there, too. The room we had (a suite in the attic) was beautifully appointed and finished, with some lovely details and was very comfortable. The complimentary drinks in the room were a nice treat, and we had a peaceful night's sleep. The food in the restaurant was delicious, they have a lovely menu that has some interesting options, and the gnocchi was particularly good! We had an early start in the morning so had to leave before breakfast was served, but they prepared us some lovely breakfast bags to take with us. All in all an excellent stay, would highly recommend!

   The pub has a lovely welcoming ambiance, set in the heart of Corsham. The steak was excellent, although the fish and chips wasn’t the best I have had. The batter was a bit hard although tasty enough. Also as it was my wife’s birthday we were well looked after.

   A much needed night away and the Methuen Arms did not disappoint in anyway. The room was just lovely and the bathroom likewise with a beautiful bath tub. I arrived just as the sun was setting and the atmosphere was set with gentle music playing on the radio in the room - relaxation began immediately. Lovely breakfast the following morning and no hurry to leave with check out at 11 a.m. Each staff member I came across was friendly, pleasant and helpful. I cannot wait to come back. Many thanks

   A family group of 6 adults, one baby and three dogs. A lovely old building which has been tastefully managed. Great outdoor areas for eating and/or drinking. Rooms were nicely presented and well equipped. Menus were imaginative and all food was well cooked. Best of all the staff were always helpful, professional yet friendly. Overall a very relaxing break.
