Always 5* food and service! Proper 'pubby' feel and the pizza chalet is great fun. Staff are lovely, great menu and bar selection. Impeccable and well decorated with great quality, local food with sensible prices to reflect. One of my favourites!
We went for a lovely walk in Shipton Moyne and followed it with a delicious family roast. The children's roast meals were very generous and the adults had the beef which was beautifully done. The dogs were welcome and the atmosphere was fantastic. Can't wait to return.
Went for lunch with a friend. I had the sausage and mash. Very tasty and nicely presented. The down fall was the dessert. I had syrup sponge and custard. It had clearly been heated in the microwave because one side was hot and the other side was cold. Not very tasty either. Its not somewhere I would go again.
Great classic pub. I went there for Sunday lunch. I started with soup of the day and it was leek and potato. For a simple soup it was full of flavour. The delicious homemade bread with it was also great. It made me think of this was excellent how good can the roast be. I wasn’t disappointed. I had the roast beef and it was fantastic, perfectly cooked and so tender and bursting with flavour. The Yorkshire pudding was big, not greasy and just tasted perfect, roast potatoes were crispy and fluffy on the inside (perfect). I had the vegetables which were good, and cauliflower cheese which was so tasty. Couldn’t fit in a desert unfortunately, I was already full. Lovely pub, very nice staff, super friendly and were quick with the orders. If I was in the area I would definitely be going back. Just fantastic. I didn’t stay in the hotel just had lunch. 5 stars all round.
Stopped off for a quick business lunch. Excellent pizza. Tried the truffle which had a creamy base, all ingredients were cooked spot on and tasted amazing. Great quick service and a nice spacious cosy setting. Would recommend and will be back.
A very pretty traditional English pub, onto which an attractive extension with pizza options was added during Covid. The food is really good, with a very reasonable choice of dishes. Excellent and cheerful service. Great family atmosphere. Well mannered dogs welcome.
Our group of 10 walkers had wonderful lunch at this pub. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. It was a great atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome.
Fabulous accommodation and food, with superb attention to detail and friendly service. Just a few minutes from Westonbirt arboretum and the market town of Tetbury, the Cat & Custard Pot is located in a quiet village. It offers superior accommodation and the choice of an a la carte menu in the main restaurant, or a rich variety of pizzas in its custom built pizzeria. The beers and wines on offer are high quality and the rates, though at the higher end of the scale for what is effectively a B&B, represent good value for money. We would definitely visit again and would have no hesitation in recommending the Cat & Custard Pot to anyone visiting this part of the West Country.
Lovely people makes for a happy stay, the staff is fantastic, they make you feel at home from the minute you check-in. The amenities are simple but perfect, clean rooms, really hot water, big showers, comfy beds! Excellent food at the pub/restaurant. Good selection of beers and spirits as may may expect at local pub.
