   We stayed at the Kings head whilst visiting family who live in Usk. The hotel rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. I like the addition of a nespresso machine too. A very well done room. Cons- my pillow was too high to sleep on comfortably, a couple of flatter pillows for sleeping would be a bonus. More coat hooks in the room, plus the bathroom, would be better. The bathroom was so clean. The food at breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend and return to the Kings Head.

   My mother and I stayed 3 nights in mid October and found the hotel and amenities to be comfortable and clean, though I wish I'd brought my own pillow because I found them to be high and very firm. Adam, the owner, is charming and cordial, and the others we met were as well. The bar has such a wonderful warm and cozy ambiance! It's very different from what we have in the US, and we loved the vibe. The food was very good, and the hot chocolate as well! We liked Usk a lot and found the locals to be very friendly. Thank you, Adam and team!

   1st time eating here for a long time. Great, cosy pub with a local village feel to it. Big open fire in the bar area which is usually quite busy with plenty of atmosphere. However if you would like quieter area, they have recently refurbished and extended the other dining room which looks great. We had great meals for both adults and kids.

   Had a absolutely lovely Sunday roast pork today. Started with a prawn cocktail which was more then I expected size wise. The roast was cooked just right , great Yorkshire pudding to match. Service was quick , polite and checked on how our food was and checked if there was anything they could do. 10/10 on all counts. Was also unusual for someone from Australia to eat in a pub that was built in 1590. Great atmosphere,well done to all

   The hotel is really lovely. Rooms done out really nicely and reasonably priced. But the food in the pub is shocking. It's marketed (and priced) like fancy gastro pub food but the quality is awful. Worse than cheap pub food. We had the curry and the duck and neither of us could finish our meals and left hungry. The curry had something in it that tasted really awful and the duck just had pure honey poured over it instead of a sauce. You really begrudge bad food when you're paying a lot of money for it. Would recommend staying in the hotel but avoid eating in the pub.

   Always loved this place, steak pie is amazing as is the house curry. Was a 40th birthday party with 16th of us, unfortunately due to covid one person was unable to attend, Although no restrictions they choose to stay away to be responsible, yet we were charged £5 as they did not attend. Considering there was so many of us and the amount we spent we found this abit of a shock and never experienced this before anywhere, bit disappointed we must admit, and although we may pop in on the off chance we would not book a large meal again here.

   Went as part of a large party. Be aware the portions are on the large side (not a complaint). I had the Curry half and half this time and it was very tasty. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

   Very pleasant and welcoming. Staff were obliging and professional. Very good menu with a selection of hearty food and generous portions of all three courses on offer. Our order arrived quickly and all at the same time, we were a party of ten. When in Usk again will definitely be visiting the Kings Head Hotel again. Thank you for a very enjoyable time.
