Very nice staff. Proper service with a smile and really good food. It was a bit quiet though. Not a lot of people around. Not that that's a bad thing.

It's a nice friendly pub on the edge of the green just outside Whitchurch village. Good amount of parking to the rear of the pub. Inside it's fairly standard. Cozy snugs and more open spaces to spread out. Certainly enough room for groups of diners. The food is very well priced for a pub. Lots of deals to be had with "two meals for one" type offers depending on the food you choose. Our burgers were very good for not a lot more than the local "Scottish Restaurant". It's a bit soulless during the day but I expect it's quite a bit more cozy and welcoming in the evening when it fills up with diners and drinkers. Well worth a visit!

I understand itβs not a 5* pub but it could really do with an upgrade and some new chefs, waiters were nice think they are used to sending food back and complaints tho. We first got cokes which were flat tasted like water we sent them back and got new ones , was still the same. then we ordered food, two steaks, one mix grill type of thing and a katsu banquet. The steaks were like rubber tasted like they were put a in a microwave, we βupgradedβ our chips to salt and pepper and they came up which just a dump of powder on them they were disgusting. Out of 4 people only one meal was eaten and only because he was hungry, We asked for a refund which they understood but wonβt be coming again

We recently came for a family meal on pub quiz night. It was incredible, lively atmosphere and a very helpful young man called Cole sounded very experienced and well educated about the pub and how everything is. He made good recommendations, and me and my wife shared a lovely spread. Food was boiling hot and to the best standard. Delicious.

Had an amazing night with colleagues. Christmas eve. The staff were brilliant under extreme pressure with a lot of drunk idiots (I'm sorry if I was one of them.) For nights like that they should have a tip box. The done really well. Unfortunately me and my colleagues will return to cause a bit more trouble we enjoyed ourselves so much. Please make all the staff aware of their value.

Great restaurant / public house. Clean and well laid out. Food was very good and served quickly. Limited parking, so best arrive by foot to avoid disappointment. I highly recommend this place and will certainly visit again. We'll do to the staff.

Food came quickly and was really tasty. I had one of the Tuesday specials -15oz gammon for Β£7.50. The only thing that let it down was the toilets, they were quite messy and could of done with a quick clean.
