So the drinks were good and ordering was easy. I downloaded the app and won a free drink which was brilliant, the good times stopped at that point. I ordered the starters and mains and that happened easily. My son’s starter didn’t turn up so they hurriedly ran into the back and churned out garlic bread with cold grated cheese. The rest of the starters were ok 5 out of the 6 mains rocked up. After mentioning it to the waiter it finally turned up 5 minutes after the rest. The 5 other mains were already cold. I had a xxxmas burger which was an abomination, £13.50 and looked like a member on top of a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Complained at the end and was bought a round of drinks by the manager which was good of them. I don’t normally expect much from places like this but I expect food to turn up and be above room temperature. Photos attached of what I should have got and what I actually got.

me and family normally love going here for steak however today was meh. we had the sirloin steak and it had a weird blood smell? like it had been left out for a while, however when we brought up the issue they gladly offered to make it again, the next one was better but still okay. the peas were also quite dry. still enjoyed though just a bit loud for my liking

It may possibly be the worst meal I have ever had the pleasure of paying for- the issue is you pay for it on the app so it’s all too late once you are served - bullets for peas, gristle and fat in the rib eye, frozen chips that taste like frozen chips, overcooked eggs that I asked to be replaced - got replaced with overcooked again even after I explained I needed the yolk to be liquid… and as for the £3 ish for the additional mac and cheese - it was so solidified I was unable to chew it and swallow. The pub has a nice atmosphere so would be nice for drinks. Lesson learned!!

Great food, and well priced. A lot of different things to choose from too. The staff are friendly, polite, and seemed happy. I went there with 7 members of my family and we had a great afternoon, we'll definitely be coming back soon.

Just had a birthday meal at the local hero first time we've visited the pub. Very big lots of space which i liked being in a wheelchair i could get around the place with ease no bumping into chairs, tables or people. Great disabled access nice clean radar key locked toilet. Ordered food for 5 of us which came to just over 60 pound which was very reasonable. Food came out nice and hot in good timing but sadly it didn't really warrant 5 stars it was just average run of the mill high turn over pub food. Not that that's the people running the place fault they are just trained to cook and serve the meals like that I suppose. Nice staff.

Nice pub much bigger after renovation staff are polite and friendly. Food is good never disappoints. Although they’re wing challenge has let down this review as before the renovation the wing challenge came in separate dishes for each flavour. Now they’re all on one tray and the flavours are almost all mixed together so is all totally spicy and can’t taste the different flavour of wings anymore. Other than that great family pub always reliable when delivering food.

Solid pub with really reasonable prices. Food is really decent for the dollar so well worth a visit. Was fast service today and pleasantly busy.
