Tip for the day (19 Dec 25):-If you are needing antibiotics today I would advise you this is NOT the place to go! Just been there with an emergency prescription, only to be told they didn't have any!!! A pharmacy with no antibiotics, absolutely ridiculous!!! Further to my post & after trying Caerau Lane pharmacy, I am now in Tesco Western Avenue where they DO have the antibiotics both myself (I am asthmatic) & my 89 yr old Dad desperately need. So to Knights Wilson Road I would say it really is not good enough to expect poorly people to go trawling around for what is a common medication. I am absolutely livid & really would give them no stars if I could!! .

Asked how long the wait would be was told not able to give me a time frame but better of waiting than coming back to queue waited 25 minutes to be told the stuff I need is not in stock and should be tomorrow, have no confidence it will be. Impossible to contact the store.

Literally the busiest pharmacy I've ever been too. Staff are doing their best but they're either severely short staffed or the area they serve is way to big for such a small pharmacy. Regularly waiting over an hour to be served and they've often run out of common medications. Would not recommend if you can find a different pharmacy!!

They always have a staff shortage notice up usually saying you have to wait a few days for your medication and they don't answer the phone either it's not a very reliable pharmacy unfortunately knights have the monopoly in our area

I waited in the queue from 5to5 to get the prescription taken off me at 5 past. Then told that they didn't have the time to do it but to go to another chemist.

After numerous unhappy interactions over the last 8 years I'm writing a review. Of all the Pharmacies I've used in Cardiff (2 in Cathays, 1 in Adamsdown, 1 in town and 2 in Ely). The service at Pearns is by a village mile far and above the worst I have ever experienced. It's so far from good that I don't think the staff there have any concept of what a "good" pharmacy service for routine repeat prescriptions would even look like. 5 working days for a repeat and even then you usually just make it up when I arrive because it's not ready. One time you gave me 2-3 repeats at once then when I asked the Docs what had happened they told me that you'd actually requested and billed them for 6 so I wasn't allowed more next month. No text / email notification of "request a repeat soon" or "your prescription is ready for collection" no delivery service, website is terrible.

They need to start answering their phone called 325 times over 2 days in the end I had to go there, 2 customers were saying they couldn't get through, the person on the till was so rude when we asked about it, she walked off laughing then another person came to serve us. We said about the phones she said they were fine and working, so one of the customers rang and it was engaged, they were being untruthful the phone was not in use just off the hook. We mentioned if there was an emergency if someone needed advice and she said we don't give advice. WHAT'S ALL THAT ABOUT. The new staff are unfriendly and unhelpful some training would be an advantage for them, and also to keep the phones on.

This is twice now i have been palmed off when requesting the Common ailment scheme with seemingly disingenuous reasons, from it would take too long to we only have 1 pharmacist, but even when told that waiting isn't an issue for me they just reassert the issue of having one pharmacist, proving to me time wasn't the problem, they just don't want to do it. which is unacceptable. if i am denied a third time i will be taking it further.

I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The staff are hard working and explain everything very clearly. I can see they are struggling because Lloyds up the road are always closed. The impact it has had on them is huge. But they are always willing to help
