Used the vets during the lifetime if my chocolate lab (Ruby), always finding them friendly and professional. She had some knee operations when she was younger, which they arranged with a local surgeon, but thankfully not too many visits until recently as she came towards end of life. Such a difficult time with a much loved pet. At this point I found the Vet and receptionist were exceptional in treating the dog and us with care and consideration.

My 9 year old cockapoo developed a Fatty Lump 4 years ago. This past year has seen it increase in size followed by first signs of a second Fatty Lump. The Rickmansworth Chess vets who carry out surgeries, have many years surgery experience, so I opted for removal by them of both lumps simultaneously. I was fully informed of what was involved and felt confident to go ahead. The result was excellent. My cockapoo seemed to sail through the experience easily and her recovery was very quick. Thank you Rickmansworth Chess Vets.

The vet was very attentive to our pets needs and the reception team were very receptive to our requests and what we needed for our pet.

Always a warm and friendly greeting for all of the staff, who make time to say hello to our furbabies. The environment is welcoming, clean and comfortable. The vets explain procedures and diagnosis in plain English, for those of use that didn’t spend 6 years studying animals and treatments. When had the unfortunate passing of animals we were comforted but more importantly they were managed in the most dignified way.

Chess Vets have been looking after our pets for over five years now, they are so friendly, helpful and caring. I can honestly say they are the best Vets we have been with. Pickle thinks so too!

The vets and nurses are lovely and most of the ladies at reception are nice with one exception. Was forced to wear a mask and had one thrown at me despite saying I'm exempt. This was also after the rule changed when you didn't have to wear masks anywhere else. Other than this the vets is reasonably priced and good

AVOID at all costs. An absolute disgrace of a vet. My 21 year old Jack Russell is in the last month or two of his life and they refused him medication unless I put the old boy through the trauma of bringing him in. A PROFIT BEFORE PAIN ORGANISATION. Not a caring profession at all. Extremely rude receptionist with appalling attitude.

They are always delayed and therefore you are kept waiting in the waiting room for ages without any explanation. As the owner of a nervous dog this causes a huge amount of stress for the animal which could be easily avoided.
