   Took my Bischon Ted here yesterday, I get that they couldn’t do his face because he was anxious. That’s fine, because Ted’s welfare is more important. But seriously, he could have been tidied up or blended in a bit? £64 and he’s still got a dirty beard and face, with a very short coat left on his body. He looks dreadful, he won’t be returning to the Groom room ever!

   I had heard good and bad things about The Groom Room but thought I would try it out for my Cavapoo puppy. He was groomed here twice but then they said they wouldn’t give him his first proper cut until he was 6 months old, with him being a Cavapoo and having wool fur, and having his fluffy puppy fur he was getting harder and harder to brush, I also asked that they not “fluff” him up but they again said “that’s just how we do it” when I am a paying customer I expect my dog to be groomed according to my wishes. I have now found a different groomer.

   I don't normally write bad reviews but my experience here has put me off for life. I brought my lovely 6 month old golden retriever pup here in Feb 2022 for a first bath, brush and nail clip and really wish I hadn't. When I arrived the lady was shouting at another dog to be quiet and being quite aggressive with it. I stupidly still left my dog there as that dog appeared to be a regular and didn't seem bothered by her but I know now I should have turned and walked out. When I picked him up I was told that 3 people (including pets at home staff) had to "pin him down" to clip his nails as he didn't like it. Since then, our once placid, confident dog is wary of strangers and reactively barks at certain people. We have spent 2 months having to re-socialise him and still have a long way to go. I have been left feeling so guilty for taking him there. Please consider a private groomer and work one on one with your dog so you don't make the same mistake as me.

   I booked my Cavapoo in to have her groom at the Walsgrave branch as her normal groomer was fully booked. Never in 3 years of her being groomed has her normal groomer came across a matt she couldn't brush out. Unfortunately this appeared to be the case here. When I picked her up she was litterally shaved off completely. A complete hack job! I could have cried! I will never use their groom room again.

   I took my shih tzu for a full groom today and unfortunately it was a mistake. They shaved the ears ( seriously? For shih tzu?)Didn’t cut off belly and sanitary area properly. It’s raining and wet outside in these days so obviously you want to have a tidy legs and shorter hair on the tummy. Didn’t do good job with face too.
