Prior to leaving Cirencester after our short break, we decided to get some lunch before our journey home. We opted for Cote, and before anyone says anything, I know it’s a chain and as a foodie, chains are bad lol. However, I think Cote is different. The consistency of quality food affords me the the benefit of dropping in to any Cote around the country and having a great meal. Today, the better half opted for the Sea Bream and I had the Burger. I really have nothing negative to say about the food! Quality produce cooked perfectly and at a reasonable price. The service in the Cirencester restaurant was excellent and we were served by an attentive, yet discreet, waiter called Constantin. It was a pleasure to leave him a tip on top of the 10% service charge. This place is great for couples, families or groups of friends and the decor is modern, yet cosy.

We had an absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch on 9th November. We arranged this as a birthday lunch for our mother who is 82. We have been to Cote Cirencester on a number of occasions in the past and repeatedly look to come back because of how wonderful the experience is each time – and last Sunday was no different. The atmosphere is perfect for families, young and old. We have found it increasingly difficult to find restaurants which don’t insist on blaring out music or where the sound is echoey and background noise very clattery which makes hearing hard and conversation difficult. The ambience and environment created in Cote Cirencester is a perfect atmosphere. The food is sensational. Our starters and mains were all delicious. The roast chickens were superb and the description from our waiter that they were so fresh was evident in the cooking and in the tasting. The free flow fries were an outstanding menu option. We were also impressed with the options available for gluten and dairy free dietary requirements and the waiter was very helpful in explaining and facilitating this from the menu. All in all another excellent experience and above all the whole lunch was made memorable by our superb waiter Constantin. He was always friendly, warm and helpful. Throughout he brought humour and a genuine sense of care and sincere attentiveness which projected a strong desire for us all at our table to have a good time without this seeming forced or false – it was natural and made us all feel relaxed and very welcome. Constantin combines a well judged sense of humour with very strong customer service orientation and he helped make the experience all the more enjoyable. Special thanks to him. We will certainly be back again for another repeat visit.

Love the new ‘Brasserie’ menu! Today I was looking forward to trying the new menu. It did not disappoint Simpler & returning to its French roots too. The poulet & frites was just DELICIOUS. succulent & tasty. The team are always super friendly & engaging. Love going here! Thanks!

Pro: Great food. Con: Took 2 hrs to get our food. Con: It was freezing inside with AC since we spent hrs in total to get food Pro: They had blankets when I asked. Con: This delay caused us to take the food home instead as we lost our appetite Con: we missed our evening plans due to this, and forgot about the overstayed car parking.. Pro: I looked for the manager who took the correct steps to try to resolve their mistakes, and had a word with their staff who made the mistake. Things offered wasn't suitable but had some discount on the food. Con: Since the service was bad, I removed this. Con: We were actually sat by the stairs (enterance and till) so they walked past many times but never checked on the fact we haven't ate anything for 2hrs. Pro: desserts was nice. Con: It was a first special occasion so it was a shame it went like that for us, and my partner having to stress about something that was the restaurants control/ out of his control, and I handled the situation. Reservation was 7pm, we arrived 6:50pm. Left there 9:30-10pm.

Food was amazing and everyone who served us was very polite and more than helpful. Service was a touch slow but I appreciate it was Mother's Day and it was busy. The restaurant is bigger than you realise from the outside. Really enjoyed our experience here, would definitely go again and would 100% recommend!

As first time visitors to Cirencester we fell lucky finding Cote. The front of house team were excellent, friendly and attentive without being over bearing and all very personable. The food was exceptional, my partner started with the prawns and I went with the steak tartar, we immediately knew after the first bite we had found a great restaurant! Mains, we had the beef cheek which was amazing and I had the monkfish which was easily best seafood dish I’ve had period! When it came to the sweet menu, I couldn’t choose so had two! Why not? After all is was a Friday! The final bill made the whole experience that little bit better and made for superb value for money. I love finding great eateries! If I was to be overly critical, the only flaw and complaint I could levy at Cote is that unfortunately we live 160 miles away! Highly recommended. P.S definitely go for the monkfish it’s seriously next level.

Excellent food, service and general friendliness. We first visited a few weeks back when in Cirencester and another (seemingly empty tapas bar) nearby said they couldn't accommodate us both. We had dinner that night and came back the following. Both times everyone and everything was excellent. We decided to visit for my birthday and the place was very busy but the usual standards were there albeit service was a little slow. A busy, bustling restaurant is a good sign and I personally would recommend it and it will be a place we frequent.

First experience of a cote brassiere... Though have often seen them in other towns. This one looked extremely spacious. A few tables outside. With a casual bar area for a light bite or beverage leading into a restaurant plus orangery. With blanket throws. I went for the prix fixe menu of two courses at £14.95. Service was excellent and my main was delivered with a suitable delay so as not to feel rushed. Staff were attentive and food was extremely good. My only criticism was my gin was delivered with the tonic already mixed in.. I also would have preferred a lovely copa glass. However the citadelle gin was delicious.

First off!! What lovely staff. Always makes such a difference to be actually welcomed in. Shown to a lovely table and left to settle In with a menu. Had some great food. Slow cook cheek, which I'd never had before. So now I'm a convert. Well done chef!! We'll b back.
