Do not use the groom room. My pet came back half cut to skin or not clipped at all. Tried to raise complaint but stuck goon round in circles. Please go elsewhere for your pets grooming needs.

Me and my friend went in today at around 6:30 to buy a rabbit but don’t have the things for it. We then opted for a guinea pig and we were ready to buy everything but because we then decided to buy a guinea pig instead the manager was very rude and assumed we didn’t know anything about animals however my friend has and had multiple animals over the past years so she was very rude and had an distasteful attitude towards us and we then left. And upon reading other reviews this is not the first time she has been rude to a customer.
A well-stocked store (like all Pets at Home locations). I still haven’t managed to buy Otocinclus, but there’s hope for the next delivery. Friendly staff. If there’s one thing this store could improve, it would be to offer a wider variety of aquarium substrates. The ones they do have are always sold in small quantities, and there’s no sand in different grain sizes. Other than that, it’s a great store! :)
We bought cat food this morning at 10:29am and the lady working at reception is very rude. Not welcoming and accomodating at all. Just ruined our day. We have been buying our cats food in this store. Might considering to buy somewhere else.
Came in with a stray cat (boots) and Joyce was extremely helpful and knowledge and helped me pick out all the correct food and medication. Came in the next day and again Joyce and another lady were extremely helpful. Also she likes her dreamies
Dionne was such a helpful and knowledgeable member of the team. She helped us find everything we needed for our new hampsters!! Excellent store and staff.
Typical national store, full of everything except small dog fleece jumpers which I was looking for !
Been into this pets at home a few times and staff have been lovely. However,I went in yesterday and was quite appalled by the attitude of the staff. Staff had no interest in answering questions and to be frank didn't look like they were bothered about the animals,workplace or customers. I asked 2 members of staff about where item's were,one who was on the till (male,approx mid 30's) was sat on his phone and didn't even look up to answer my question,just hovered his hand in a direct what wasn't clear. Other staff member was helpful and directed me to the right area. Furthermore on the chap who was on the till,when I asled him about the adoption fees for what I though was 2 guinea pig's he said £40 each (automatically knew that was too high for guineas). After spending some time with the supposed guinea pigs me and my partner realised they were rats,however it is disappointing to know that even the chap on the till didn't know the animals for adoption..in a pet shop. Also, the cage they had put the rats in was not amicable for them as they had nothing to climb on or be relatively happy whilst waiting to be adopted. I don't think I'll be adopting animals or buying animals from this shop as the staff don't know the animals nor care for them.
I had a very tough time last year with my cat Claude. The staff in both the store and the Vets(inside the store) were amazing to both me and Claude. I was there so often with him that they remembered him and always ask about him. I would definitely recommend.
