I highly recommend a visit. We were camping in the area and decided to pop in for a drink, we were so impressed with the service, location and menu we decided to return later on for a meal. I had the Belly pork and my husband had the lamb, we were so full we shared a raspberry creme brulee which was delicious. The food was outstanding and the wine was lovely. The service was exceptional from all staff, what a gem of a place, we will certainly return. Diolch yn fawr.

We were here for my 60th birthday, we had 7 adults and 3 little boys, our middle little fella is special but the other 2 are just a bit feral! Everything was amazing, the boys ate food that they don't normally eat, meat, veg and gravy. We had mains and deserts, wow, there was loads, we ordered 2 cauliflower cheese extras and there was still some left, our family are quite big eaters and there was ample. 3 of us had gluten free desserts and they were beautiful, the kids ice cream were a bit late but it was fine because they were very happy sharing ours! All in it was a fabulous meal, beautiful surroundings and very patient, helpful staff. Thankyou x

Went here for lunchtime meeting and was simply blown away by the location and food. The menu is small in quantity compared to others which is reassuring. Less choice the greater the focus on quality. The food was stunning. Great seasoning, tasty and portioned perfectly for a working lunch. The service was excellent with a genuine warm Welsh smiles.

We have driven past The Chainbridge many times, but today we decided to stop there for lunch. Wow, what could we say? The place was immaculate, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the food was exceptional. We would highly recommend that you visit this establishment.

First visit for us since new management. Lunch was outstanding with lots of choice. Freshly cooked and good portion size. Right beside the river and a gorgeous location especially if the weather was better than our visit. It was busy and almost full on a Thursday lunchtime so book ahead. Service was excellent from the staff, well informed, well trained and just the right attitude.

What a beautiful place to stay, wish I had more time there so will be back in the very near future to enjoy all the stunning scenery and amazing service and warm welcome, amazingly accommodating and friendly staff. Lovely clean room with a very comfortable bed and lovely clean room. I just can't big up this place enough as our stay was made just so perfect to our needs. A return visit is a no brainer... many thanks to The Chain Bridge River Hotel...

Perfect location for a walking hub. Lovely staff and owners. We took our Springer Spaniel and she was welcomed by everyone and the resident cat! Nice food and good choice of beers. We travelled from Cornwall and need flexibility in our local arrangements, Chainbridge was very accommodating. Definitely ideal for couples with a dog and want to explore the local rural area.

A lovely evening. Great staff, a small but cosy warm and comfortable room. Open fire and lovely dinner. Breakfast in the morning came with a cat, who sat on my lap, made herself comfortable and insisted I ate breakfast while she sat there purring. ( She was no bother by the way, and very friendly)

Having just stayed for two nights in this pub we would thoroughly recommend it. The room we had was small, but clean and functional with views of the river. All staff were helpful and friendly. The main positive feature though was the food. The meals we had on both evenings were superb - beautifully cooked, seasoned and presented. The breakfasts on both mornings were also excellent and cooked to order. All this, added to the fact that our dog was also welcome, means it is definitely somewhere we would like to return

Nice pub by the river. We booked a deluxe double with a scenic view. Unfortunately the room was not a deluxe double by any standard. Very small and the bathroom needed updating. Also no proper storage and the scenic view was a view of the carpark. It was clean and tidy though. However, with that said, the food and the friendly staff more than made up for the sub-par accommodation, and they are very dog friendly too. Breakfast the next day was fantastic and the chef/waiter (Connor??) was lovely, he even cooked our dog a sausage for her breakfast. I had a sneak peek at room 4 (we stayed in room 3) and was a much nicer room with a river view, so next time we stay, I will be requesting that room. All in all a lovely stay.
