Good location, close to the university and in a fairly safe area. Building looks a bit dated or has an old-school charm, depending on whether you like that sort of thing. No trouble with service

In desperate need of some love and modernisation for the room I was in. For £60 ,a family room (wasn't actually that family sized) I can understand the cost of WiFi so wasn't bothered about that but with no basic TV or even an en suite bathroom which was in a separate room off the corridor. The noisest radiator that gurgled consistently throughout the night ,that combined with the general noises in the building through the paper thin walls and floors- The keys were returned just after midnight , 10 hours before checkout time. It has absolutely loads of potential and a decent location too :( Also came with a free old dusty stray sock stuffed down the side of the bed. Bonus!

Poor quality of room, service was slow and poor. Was kept awake by a member of the public hammering on the front door shouting to be let in during the early hours of the morning. He then gained entry to the hotel and started banging on room doors. Staff didn't seem to be on hand to deal with it at all,the police had to be called! The bed was too small to be a double as described, and the sink was next to electrical sockets in the bedroom!

This is a cheap hotel near the pub we were meeting friends but I’m so glad we only booked one night. I booked a double room with en-suite but got a room with a bathroom outside - 3 steep stairs down. The shower was gross to put it mildly. The shower didn’t drain as there was hair and muck in the drain that I had to move with my foot. Stay somewhere else and pay the 20+ pounds. Our group of 5 will not be staying here for the next catchup. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working either and one of our friends had a dirty sock left in his room.

Stayed here for a wedding at the Walled garden, which was a 5min drive away. Very friendly staff on arrival and at breakfast, which was freshly cooked and tasty. Our room was old fashioned in feel, but for the size of it fairly clean and tidy. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable and considering the hotel was fairly near a main road was quite so we had a good nights sleep. We stayed just the one night.
