We slept very well on a very comfortable bed. The room was very nice and tidy. I liked the new concept of introducing shops in the courtyard of the hotel offering both services and sharing the car park. The receptionist was very polite and we were happy with our choice.
Convenient location, clean room, and nice receptionist. Rooms quiet to the service station nose outside but poorly sound insulated between the rooms. Very warm, even in frosty weather - aircon unit worked but was very noisy and has a flashing bright blue light on it! Earplugs and mask needed but otherwise fair for price.
I stayed here as a cheap option for a conference in Nottingham. It’s got a unique location - inside a motorway service station opposite East Midlands airport and next to Donington race track There’s lots of parking - remember to register your registration at check in. Check in was efficient. The rooms were comfy with some mod cons like USB3 sockets. KFC etc literally on the doorstep
Stayed here recently for Download Festival. Excellent all rounder, rooms could do with air con but the fan provided definitely helped. I will definitely stay here again for the festival. The on site facilities exceptional. Also one of the quietest places I’ve stayed which surprised me. Rooms are basic yet really comfortable and spacious.
Overall very cheap option, especially for those in aviation and holiday makers. Cannot get cheaper than this, however the lack restaurant integrated into the hotel is not ideal. The box of breakfast is so bad. Much rather pay for a sausage roll at Greggs. For those booking, avoid paying for breakfast. The rooms need a major uplift too, textured ceilings and baths that aren't deep enough. Hope this hotel gets renovated as it's got great potential
Rooms very basic but ok for what we needed. Didn't expect much for the price paid but the bathroom smelt of urine and hadn't been cleaned great. The set up is strange with rooms overlooking the mall area. Was handy being so close to the airport but would definitely look for other accommodation in future
It was far better than I had been led to believe !ok slightly dated but absolutely brilliant.fortunately I had a blindfold to help me sleep or possibly I wouldn’t have rated it so highly as the lights from the services shine through al night, I would definitely stay there again if in the area ,it was just a stop off as we came in on a late flight.receptionist told us all we needed to do 2 happy customers i I even had a bath the first in 8 year’s, showers ok but not a patch on bath,
Basic hotel in a services We changed rooms once due to the room smelling of smoke, the window now opening on the latch and coffee stains- this issue was solved by giving us a new room. This room was big enough for the two of us, could open the window, felt cleaner. The bath and water wasn't hot though. Toilets available. Services clean and has what you need for a quick bite to eat Parking is free when you give details at the desk at travel lodge.
