By far the most incompetent company I have ever used. They left us without a washing machine for 1 month at the start of the tenancy, we never once had contact with our landlord Aarti, they didn’t send us our deposit back after the tenancy ended and completed ghosted us once we left the house. Do not use this company , you and all your problems will be ignored and you will not get your deposit back at all.

My review from years ago was deleted but I advise that you DO NOT rent with this corrupt company. They stole my entire £500 deposit for literal dust and make exaggerated claim about redecoration works and soiled mattresses. Seen several fraudulent reviews from their own staff and contractors. One member of staff violated my tenancy agreement by entering my studio apartment unannounced / without 24hrs notice. Avoid Uni2Scam like the plague!!

STUDENTS AVOID AT ABSOLUTELY ALL COST. It is genuinely impossible to get hold of anyone on the phone. You have to ring up about 100 times before someone picks up and then tells you someone will call you back with the answer which never happens. We got notified by the Deposit Protection Scheme at the end of our tenancy about how much they were requesting to take off our deposit. We emailed multiple times asking for a simple breakdown of charges so we could know what they were taking the money for to replace but got zero reply. I tried to call many times to ask for a breakdown to be sent over and not once did anyone even bother to pick up the phone. Eventually we just had to accept the amount because we had no other option. If you are a student looking for houses and want to be able to have some basic form of communication with your agents avoid going through John Shepherd or Uni2Rent.

Terrible agency. You ask for a problem to be solved or fixed they don't answer or respond, they just acknowledge and that's it. I showed them my payment of cleaning the flat after I left still they charged crazy amount of money with fake receipts. They charged me for things that were already in the flat when I moved in and then provided again fake receipts for those items. When you email them about this matter they don't answer and ignore your emails or calls. They schedule views for the flat at certain times and don't show up, and they actually show up on a totally different day. That's against the terms and conditions in the contract by the way. If you have a problem with deposit just go to deposit disputes, they can't do anything about it. I hope people learn from my experience and apparently I'm not the only one here based on the amount of bad reviews especially the recent ones.

I can honestly say, never in my life have I experienced such poorly conducted business. Any issue we ever had in our house (1 Brunel Terrace) took months to resolve - even the heating and hot water being broken in peak winter months. Communication was inconsistent, and in nearly all cases, entirely unhelpful. From the outset, the house suffered from repeated issues - poor maintenance, overly delayed repairs and countless unresolved problems. Despite there being multiple reports made both online and in the agency in person, the team often failed to respond in a timely or effective manner. The house itself was in a shambolic state, mould everywhere, peeling paint, and below standard furniture. We were not provided with even a TV. There were 2 fridges for 9 people - so we had to buy our own and despite them listing toasters and kettles in their household item description - we were not provided with any of this. We moved out 2 months ago and are still yet to hear anything back regarding our deposit - like many other people who have unfortunately conducted business with this shambles of a company. The fact the business saw the house ‘fit’ to live in purely reflects the quality of business they conduct. Utterly shameful.

Ed is really great and always very quick with replying to messages about viewings etc. The system/website they use is very easy to use. However we’ve been having problems with being sent guarantor forms… other than that super friendly staff

Was told multiple times that the house was not fire safe by authorities. No hot water for a month. No bins for 3 months. No deposit protection. Know of people who lost 90 pounds from deposit for individual hairs on the floor. No response from phone calls. Did not receive all furniture specified on the contract. Overall terrible experience

I have been staying at one the properties managed by Uni2Rent. Being an international student you expect a certain things, at least a piece of information about utilities and basic information about property. I found it difficult initially. When I came here in September 2021, the fridge and radiator was out of use. After asking for the services people got back to me after a couple of weeks. I am highly disappointed with management and overall team. They definitely don't reply or answer to your emails and calls. They haven't even updated the system for me as this is my second year with them. This whole situation is highly unprofessional and unfair to me. There has been issues concerning regarding security, WiFi and cleaning a quite frequently but no one even bothered to respond. I am staying in this property because of the location and that's literally the only reason. It's high time for you guys to reflect and improve your services.

The staff at Uni2 provide an excellent service at all times. Having worked with them over numerous properties, I have never had anything but an exceptional experience. Maddie is always just a phone call away and is always happy to help with whatever is needed. Professional and friendly 100% would recommend Thanks again!

DO NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE START This company is vile and money grabbing. We arrived last year in September to a broken glass door, a shower covered in mould, an oven that did not work and sofas that were torn to pieces with no arm. Some of these issues all took until Christmas to fix. We have now recently received our invoice for our deposit after having attached hundreds of photos to the inventory at the start of the year and they have tried to take OVER A GRAND worth of our deposit to fix ‘wall marks and stains’ and for a ‘cleaning fee’ despite us having a done a deep clean of the entire flat before we left. They don’t even bother to look at the inventory, and will not give you access to the photos that you sent them at the start of the year. We have had other awful experiences with this company and they have only added anger, frustration and disappointment onto our university experience. They just want your money and they don’t even fix the issues that they charge for. A totally unprofessional and inhumane company. Also, please notice the majority of the good reviews are from landlords or those students who haven’t got back their deposit invoice yet. All these positive reviews came in recently to hide the other 1 star reviews as this used to be the overall score for the company. The correct rating.
