12th December 2025. Absolute disgust this afternoon. Ordered a pint of lime cordial and soda, a pint of Holden's stout and a bowl of chips. Stout for my wife - no problem. £4.00. Chips in a basket - no problem. £4.00. Dash of lime topped up with soda from a large bottle - £5.60! How? Barman taps in 90p for lime and then, when challenged to explain once I thought about the price and went back to bar, points out that the till only accepts entry of small bottles of 200ml soda priced at £2.65. He opted to put 2 down on the bill! The worst rip off for a lime and soda I have ever encountered and just left me absolutely fuming. No offer of a refund or anything else. In addition, when I asked where Holden's Brewery is located [the pub sells mostly Holden real ales], the same barman and his kitchen staff stated that they had no clue! Robin Hood still going strong! Never visit again.

Stopped for lunch, pleasant staff, had a pannie which was tasty and filling. Nice menu choice. Sat in but on a nicer day would have sat out, nice views across the bridge. Has its own carpark

Visiting family and wanted a place to eat. Previous reviews looked OK, so we ventured in. Sat in the smaller room to the left as we walked in. Attempted to order a drink for us all, from a tall lugubrious lady behind the bar - who instructed us to walk around to the other bar - all but 3 steps for her and half way round the pub for anyone else. Perhaps consider working in other than the hospitality industry? Food we ordered was good quality, yet again the chef appeared to be having an off day in their customer service approach...but the food balanced that one out, unlike the morose lady dishing out drinks. Real shame for us - I really wanted to like this pub, I guess we foreigners from the Black Country just aren't the thing for this 'team'.

Served us two pints of different real ales - one nowhere near it's best and the other was vinegar. They seemed very happy to change them and the barrel. New beer was superb.

Couldn't be more helpful. Some of the most nicest people you'd ever meet. Car park good, not easy to park in this town, so it really came in handy. The food was excellent. My friend has trouble walking. However, this place couldn't have been more helpful or respectful. The locals definitely made this place a welcoming trip.

Great pub on the edge of Ironbridge. Only popped in for a drink in the afternoon and the place was very comfortable. The barmaid was very chatty and friendly

Popped in for a light lunch. Excellent. Local beer on offer at £2.80 a pint. We ordered a baguette and a sandwich on brown. Very generous fillings, crisps, salad and coleslaw for £6.90 each. Truly excellent value... Friendly service too and just five or so minutes from the Iron Bridge.
