Swimming Lessons - they are ok. Unless you have a teacher who is off quite often for whatever reason. Then you get stand ins who do not or can not affect your child's progress to the next level. They simply don't update it. And when you have had 5-6or7 occasions (weeks) where the teacher isn't there because they went back to Uni and getting a replacement takes a while and just when things seem settled, the new teacher isn't there again! Not good for the bank balance or the way your child feels because they are not getting anywhere! This change and delay in teachers is also not communicated to you unless you question it at the front desk- because the teachers don't get time! and that's if you know in the first place who is teaching your child!

The arena itself is fine but be aware of the monthly subscription terms, you effectively have to give a months notice, a month ahead of time - so potentially up to 59 days in advance. This really is out of touch with how subscription services operate in 2025 so we ended up paying 3 months of subs for just under 2 months of lessons. Disappointing

Avoid if your child actually needs swimming coaching! Took my daughter to swimming classes when she was 2-3 years old. For such high demand at this place i was extremely disappointed. A lot of the lessons were focused on nursery rhymes and repetitive circuits. I don’t have a problem with that with too much but when certain children are clearly struggling there is absolutely NO support or focus given to the child. My daughter was struggling when she advanced to 3 year olds class and she was clearly struggling with confidence and even got yelled at by one of the swimming instructors. It set her back months and I only realised how bad this place was when I eventually left and went to a local swimming centre with instructors who are actually in the water with them instead of standing outside the pool singing nursery ryhmes. The experience in rushcliffe set my daughter back months! Save your money and go to a local place that actually cares!

A brief note to celebrate my grandson's very first swim with his mum. We would very much like to thank Maddie on Arena Reception, for her first class support and great good service. Maddie's engagement and professionalism helped turn this ordinary event into a special and memorable occassion for us all. A great day and wonderful introduction to swimming. Would recommend Rushcliffe Arena without reservation.

We took our 3-year-old son to swimming lessons here and were really disappointed. The teacher didn’t seem interested or engaged. The changing rooms were also a big issue – they were dirty every time we visited. Parents waiting inside often didn’t take off their shoes, which made things even worse. Overall, not a great experience. We won’t be going back.

Love this place. We use the gym, swimming and classes. I need to mention Denise as she is such an asset to the centre. She is always smiling and was great from the many initial enquiries to signing my family up and helping us with any queries along the way. Thank you!

Amazing facilities and location. On arrival the staff are so friendly, welcoming and warm. Always go out there way to help you. Incredibly cheap for what you get for membership. Couldn’t rate the Arena high enough.

We have recently moved to Nottingham and after a couple of visits to other sports facilities we chose Rushcliffe Arena. The personnel at the reception are super nice and helpful. This place is reasonably priced and the facilities are great for our needs. We would recommend this gym to everyone and many thanks to the people in charge!

Discovered this place properly with a free 3 day pass in August 2022. After being highly impressed by the arena, the staff and facilities we decided to join as permanent members. We take advantage of regular Lane swimming and virtual RPM and The Trip on the bikes but there is so much choice with other stuff too….! The app is incredible and makes it so easy to see what is available and when and not sure what we would do without it! Absolutely love the place and it has changed our way of living! Thank you Rushcliffe Arena and lovely staff….

Fantastic local leisure centre offering excellent facilities to the local community. Staff were excellent and felt very safe with the new Covid restrictions in place.
