Today I was helped by Jude, who was so lovely and understanding. She assisted me with my shopping and kindly helped me find the cake I had come for. Her kindness and patience truly made my day, and I want to take a moment to give her the thanks she deserves. Thank you, Jude, for your wonderful support and care.
On the 30th of September 2025 I went to this shop for my daily shopping as iam a health care worker working in the area for 4 years now. After finishing my shopping one of the workers approached me to say to me that I need to pay £44.00 for shopping tat I haven’t paid on the 10 th same month. At first I thought that payment hasn’t gone through but then I realized that it was a day that I bought a cake for one of our nurses colleague then I’ve I remembered that not only I pay for a cake and flowers but also had the receipts cos I had to claim my money back from my fellow nurses. Let me add that this conversation took place front of the self checkout desk people were watching like I was a thief that got caught while I was wearing my nhs uniform with my tag name on me being a regular customer for 4 years. I said to them that why they did roll the camera back to see if I bought one cake paid and took the receipt I also provide online banking proof and pictures from my colleague party with a cake and flowers, the person didn’t apologise after that even I suggested to investigate the camera. Marks after my feedback giving me a ten pound voucher as an apology which I’m not going to accept as my dignity costs a lot more. My colleagues are so upset also from this behaviour and definitely we have to consider going back to that shop after that we are 35 ppl in my department . That approach was absolutely disgusting and the company need to do something about it never in my life felt so small and so humiliated. Sad
I had a really disappointing experience in-store recently. Interaction with staff re my chi in my bag asleep, shouting so masculine at me rather than talking, when I went to ask for her name after a rude interaction, and instead of responding calmly, she became aggressive — repeatedly shouting “Don’t worry about my name!” and even came right up in my face, yelling “I’m gonna slap you up!” On repeat and flipped her hand back which made contact with my face. Inches screaming from my face repeating screaming, uncontrollable. Security and staff had to hold her back. She was so angry, it was totally a flip. She should not be serving the public. Completely unacceptable behaviour, especially in a public store. I left feeling shocked, intimidated, and totally disrespected. African lady, piercing under lip, hair tied up, so aggressive. Vile. You should be ashamed of yourself. Get a grip. Taking this far as possible
I got really bad food poisoning here. I ate the cookies and the pizza thing that was left out near the entry when you come in. The date of the cookies was going to expire in two days, for the pizza idk. But this caused me very bad cramps and headaches. I had very bad food poisoning symptoms. I’m never going to come back here and I wish I can report further. The workers here not doing a good job with checking food. Now I have to suffer. Results: I just found out the food here gave me food poisoning and then it turned into viral gastroenteritis which lasted a week. Im never going to buy any type of food in there
The very name stands for, and oozes, quality in its products and in the layout and display of its goods. What varies is the competence of the dispensers of M&S services wherever you come across them. There are 2 M&Ses in the lower Lordship Lane end of East Dulwich and they are doing admirably and superbly well. I must shop here again. The atmosphere is akin to that of Oxford St cum Tottenham Court Rd and E. Dulwichers are loving it. Bravo!
Most of my pandemic and quarantine days I shopped here. Lovely shop,lovely people
Convenient for a Sunday Evening especially if you finish work at 6pm most Supermarkets, are closed from 4/5/6pm. M&S Doors are open for you.
Excellent little store. Stocks all the basics plus more for special occasions or daily meal prep. They fit a lot into a relatively small space, and the staff are always lovely.
