The food was fresh and extremely tasty, the venue itself was beautiful so special and has perfect photo opportunities and the service was outstanding it felt very personal with lots of extra special touches. “Cafe run by charity Mencap - fantastic initiative to give people with learning disabilities the chance to learn skills in catering, customer services and hospitality. I have never eaten there but just had a quick coffee / kids snacks - it doesn't feel that warm and cosy to me, so I've never been tempted to linger too long. My suggestion would be to remove the PCs and introduce some sofas and perhaps some toys or games. Not sure how feasible that would be!”

“Me and a colleague randomly walked past going back to work, so glad we poked our heads in! Fab selection of salads, we got 2 different hot dishes to try (both very yummy and tasty with fresh rice), we also got 2 different slices of cakes (both moist, fresh and again very tasty), 1 slice of spinach roll, and a ice latte. All tasted homely, fresh, and made with love. We will be back and will spread the word as we need this local gem!”

“Superb little cinema . Lovely cafe, staff & seating areas. Excellent auditorium I visited the Phoneix Cinema for the first time October 2019 for an evening preview screening. It's a charming cinema with really well thought out layout and facilities and friendly, helpful and courteous staff . I noticed that they have a permanent ramp which is ideal for accessibility into the venue. The foyer is bright and welcoming, with lots of snack and drinks I even found Judes ice creams with the mango sorbet (£3.00) working well for me. There are lost of additional seating areas benches and chairs, so if like me, you're early, you'd have plenty of places to relax in. Upstairs the cafe is larger than it seems - I had a long seated alcove area all to myself around the corner. The food and drinks are really extensive even more so than downstairs, so a Belvoir Lemonade £3.00) was in order for me, though I would return when it's less busy during the day to enjoy the offerings. The auditorium is very plush and well cared for with great sound and comfy seats The ladies toilets on the ground floor were small but clean with plenty of mirrors, nice hand wash and cream though the hand dryer was rather lame as myself and other patrons laughed at. From East Finchley station (Northern Line) take the exit on the left by the ticket machines and walk ahead, there may be a mobile coffee van open, walk pass this to the corner and look left and you'll see the red neon sign for the Phoenix on the opposite side of the street, which is less than and 3 minute walk away.”

“From your first step when you walk into the hotel up until you leave, you are treated like royalty by the stuff who can't do enough for you. The cleanliness all over is next level at this hotel. Breakfast serving is absolutely the best I've had at any hotel and they even have 24 hour coffee to enjoy the lovely lounge area. “We recently dine in here. We are vegetarian and keep looking or exploring vegetarian options around. Though the name says London Spice but it is truly Indian Hyderabadi. I found limited options for vegetarians and we mainly wanted to eat biryani rather than curry and roti and I must say it was the right choice to go here. We ordered vegetarian dum biryani and the staff also suggested the portion or quantity of biryani which was very helpful. I must say the quantity given was good along with the quality of food. My child especially likes the biryani a lot, a true authentic Hyderabadi biryani taste. Along with biryani, raita and mirch Ka salan was served which was good in taste. A plate full of dry cut vegetables salad was also served which is typical Indian style and I liked it as you don't happen to see it in many restaurants here. Later we asked for starters in vegetarian and staff suggested chilli paneer, we went with the suggestion and it was up to the mark. Quantity and quality both were satisfactory. I must recommend vegetarian people to try if you love biryani. The staff was so polite and was frequently checking on the quality and other things. 5 star for food and service. I felt a bit of Indian music in the background would have added a feel at home country otherwise everything is perfect. London Spice team you are truly doing a fantastic job by providing us good and home quality food far away from home country. Keep the good service and quality.”
