I can’t recommend Bodmin Pets for Vets highly enough. My pet recently had to undergo an operation, and the care we received was outstanding from start to finish. A special thank you to Sarah, who went above and beyond to ensure our insurance claim was processed smoothly. Her determination and persistence made a stressful situation so much easier to manage. It’s rare to find someone so committed to helping their clients, and we’re incredibly grateful for her support. The entire team was professional, compassionate, and efficient — exactly what you need when your pet needs medical care. Excellent service all around.

Got new rats, suspected the girls had an upper respiratory infection. My boys were fine but wanted them checking anyway. Got an appointment for the next day, the vet we saw was so lovely, she was absolutely brilliant with not just my rats but us also. The ladies at the reception desk were super friendly and welcoming. Also really helpful too. Can not fault the service we received from the moment we arrived until we left. To our surprise we was also given discount for our appointment, which given the cost of living was a huge help and really appreciated. So glad we chose this vets for our pets. Can’t recommend them enough!! Pictures of my 4 who was seen today ☺️

Let's start with the good which is the two lovely ladies on reception who are so warm and welcoming and the fact they don't have many clients for getting an appointment is easy. Now onto the bad as today I hit breaking point with this place. Vets4pets used to be a good option if you were on a budget as the consultation price WAS half the price of every other vet...until they were bought out by MARs now expect to pay the same consultation fee as every other vet and you aren't even seeing a vet and god forbid you need antibiotics as 14 of those tablets will now set you back £89 with charges for prescriptions and insurance claims also going up. So now imagine you dog goes in for a routine spay ...comes home with an infection which you expected to pay to fix over several weeks. To add to this she was taken in at 8am and left all day in a cage all day until the very last slot so naturally she is now scared of vets. Now add on the fact that all evidence points to them give her too many drugs to knock her out so a 4pm collection was actually 7.30 with reception Staff having to help me with her to the car. Oddly this wasn't enough for me to not go back. over the last year my dog has suffered from an ear infection. each time requiring yet another vet aka nurse consultation. and as you never see the same person each prescribe something new leading to more money and no long term solution. Yesterday I called to say the infection is back, please may I have some more ear drops as we know what it is...no you need to come in. I am sick of paying £55 for a 5 minute appointment for something that comes back a few months after treatment. The last thing I will say on this place is in regards to the horrible practice manager. My father had a terrible experience with this woman a few months ago. They were told to come in and that the appointment was included in the price of the previous check up. when they went to pay for the medication they were told to pay for the appointment. Upon simply questioning the manager came out from the back screaming at them that they would not be leaving without paying....they simply asked a question and being treated in this manner is simply not acceptable. They have sent several emails to the manager as they are still owned money yet she ignores them.

Absolutely outstanding! Would never take my cat anywhere else. He was booked in to be neutered, unfortunately he had an undescended testicle which complicated the procedure. The staff at Vets4Pets Bodmin were so lovely and explained everything to me and all I needed to know. I had calls to keep me updated on how he was doing through the day which helped give me peace of mind. They were compassionate and understanding and I know my cat was treated as if he was their own pet. Thank you SO much for being so lovely and caring Vets4Pets Bodmin!

Up until the last time I needed Vets for Pets Bodmin, I have always been 100% happy with the service. However, I feel thoroughly misinformed and let down when it came to making that dreaded, final call for help to them. My dog had been battling Cushings Disease bravely, I thought I had it clear in my mind what would happen, if I had to let him go by Euthanisation. I'd rang them months ago, they had his notes on the screen and I was assured that he could be put to sleep out back, in the comfort of our camper van and given a price saying they did it alot (he had infact been seen outside before, as he was happier being examined away from the clinical smells and surroundings). But when I made the call I was told this was not infact possible. This was totally distressing to hear, added to already being distraught. I did complain formally but the excuse I was given did not take responsibility for the false information given at all, infact I felt somewhat insulted by the reasons they gave (insinuating that my dog was vicious, he wasn't). Thankfully 'ST Austell Vets for Pets' carried out my wishes and my best Buddy was put to sleep in my arms, in our camper that he loved, with no fear or fuss. It really is crucial that the correct information is given to owners at sensitive times, such as this (the price was also apparently wrong by £60). So based upon my experience, unfortunately, I would no longer recommend Bodmin branch to anyone.

The team were nice enough but looking back I don't think they carried out the emergency as they should have. Our poor little man was put to sleep the next day with a kidney problem. This was easily proved with a blood test by another vet. If this had been done the poor chap would have not suffered as he did or saved.
