   Christmas meal with friends. Food ordered in advance and brought to the table as ordered. Very tasty but sprouts were very hard and not to our table's liking. Puddings different and very tasty. All in all good Christmas meal out.

   Very helpful, friendly team. Clean, comfortable and fabulous breakfast. Great value for the standard. Very smart pub as well, although we just used the rooms as we were eating/drinking elsewhere.

   We had an overnight stay and the after a long drive and long day the bed was super comfortable and got a great night's sleep followed by a brilliant breakfast. The staff were warm and helpful. We were disappointed that we didn't get to have a drink in the bar or garden because both looked inviting, but we were too exhausted and never got to enjoy them

   We ate here for Mothers day, it was a treat. Set menu had plenty of options. Staff were amazing, I have dairy and gluten intolerance and was very much accommodated and they even made me a special dessert so I could have one. The location is beautiful and inside is rustic and very well kept and clean.

   I have been to the Marsham Arms quite a few times and never had a bad experience or meal. However on Mother's Day this year we went along with my girlfriend, her Mum and Dad and my Mum. We decided to go for a starter and a main as our set menu option. The starters were tasty and satisfying so that was good. Unfortunately the mains came out and other than my Girlfriend's Dad who's beef roast was really nicely sized and tasty, the same cannot be said for everybody else's meals. My Girlfriend, her Mum and my Mum all had the whole plaice, which came out unfilleted!! Now I know that a 'Whole' plaice can mean this we didn't think to check and were not forewarned of this. Out of the 3 meals not one of them was able to finish it, there were just too many bones to fish out (excuse the pun). This coupled with the fact that each person states how bland the fish was lead to a pretty unsatisfying meal. Now my meal, which was the chicken supreme with fondant potato was very tasty the portion size was so small I actually asked the waiter of the rest of the meal was on its way on a side dish. It was not! There was hardly any sauce either so was very dry. This was extremely baffling considering the beef dish that my Girlfriend's Dad ate was substantially larger. I was left lacking and also, not one person asked us the entire time we were there how the meal was. I can't help but feel that at £24.99 per person for the 2 courses, considering this is a pub/inn and not a fine dining restaurant, the Marsham Arms were exploiting the fact that it was Mother's Day. I don't have a problem with the price but maybe others would. Before anybody states that everywhere does this, I am aware of that but the fact remains that what we were paying for didn't live up. I did not complain at the time because I don't see much point in doing that but my family and I will not be returning again. Very disappointed.

   Found this place online very pleased we did we booked for 1 night ,we were pleasantly surprised the room was big clean and tidy and warm the bathroom was massive had bath and shower, some parts showed signs of wear but don't we all :-) the staff we're attentive and very polite, food was good too,we had the cooked breakfast which started the day off well it was very tasty and kept us going throughout the day. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation , look forward to coming back if we're out this way again. Thanks to all at the Marsham Arms

   We stayed here with our dog. Amazing little chalet type room very clean comfortable and on the large size. Breakfast was in the price and the dog was allowed in with us, we had a full English.

   Last minute decision, but a good one. Fancied a roast - it was absolutely delicious, best one I've had in a restaurant!!! The portion size was perfect for me but had my husband ordered it, there would not have been enough to satisfy his appetite. The staff were attentive and efficient. Ollie was our server today and he was so polite and helpful. Definitely worth another visit. Well done guys.
