   OMG !! Why can’t I leave 6 stars ??? Anna, Lauren and the team absolutely Smashed Christmas out of the park…..AGAIN !!! The children getting to see the reindeer and Santa Claus was so special. Memories that will last a lifetime were made and we as a family can’t Thankyou enough for how special it has made Christmas. Please please do this again next year. We are showing friends and family who would all want to come. Thankyou x

   Hi just got home after having a Christmas roast which was second to none the service was excellent from having banter with the waitress and photos in the grotto, and catered for all my needs as I am visually impaired and wheelchair bound, easy access up a short ramp then in through the wide doors and escorted to our table which was a good height for me and my large powered wheelchair . The food arrived very quickly which was good and hot . Staff were cool to of understanding my needs & good spacious accessible toilet which is a must have there’s not many pubs I can get in that caters for all my needs and others so definitely recommend for atmosphere food & accessibility. Thank you guys you done yourselves proud I wish you all a merry Christmas & prosperous new year

   Everything about our visit was lovely the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was a buffet and was fantastic tasting. The atmosphere of the pub really added to the enjoyment. Would definitely recommend and go there again.

   I visited the pub in the mid-afternoon with some friends and family. We ordered food and drinks at the table, and it took a bit longer than expected for our order to arrive. However, the food was quite decent and filling. I really loved the atmosphere of the pub; it was very spacious. We sat outdoors at the back, and it honestly felt like I was in Greece with the white walls, fountain, and palm trees. It wasn't too busy during our visit, even though it was a beautiful sunny Sunday. I also noticed they had a pool table, which is cool, and I’m looking forward to trying it out. Overall, it’s a nice, relaxed place for a drink and some food.

   A warm clear sky day enjoyed our lunch in the courtyard consists of 6 sets table and comfortable chairs (open in sun) they have a covered area with 5 older bench picnic tables (got to lift your leg over - not for me at my age) along with a couple of picnic tables uncovered. A cool working fountain in centre populated with gold fish it is beautifully decorated with well tended hanging baskets along with a couple of palm trees. Tasty lunch ordered inside at bar not long to wait. Great value. Will come back after renovations (22nd Sept 2024)

   I had the good fortune to book the Sussex for my mums 90th birthday. It was important for me to get it right and this place did not disappoint! Mike (the landlord) and his team were wonderful, supplying lovely sandwiches and happy to help at all times. There was no pressure to finish-up, which was nice as some people had come a long way and were keen to catch-up properly. The relaxed atmosphere was great...and a good time had by all! Thank you for making the day such a memorable one!

   The greeting and service from the Manager and all of the staff is excellent. I understand that the venue is soon to undergo a refurbishment. The pub has a lovely secluded and partially covered rear garden but for the people watchers of this world retractable blinds outside, at the front of the pub, would encourage people to sit outside the pub and under cover if it's either raining or too hot and sunny.

   Lovely, friendly place to relax and enjoy the social interaction with other happy customers. Free Bingo on Sunday evenings is fun and is a regular event that a lot of people enjoy. The food was very good and the menu was varied and comprehensive. Will definitely patronise the Sussex again!

   We live very local to this pub so we thought we’d try it out. The Sunday roast was incredible!!!…and fabulous service. The people in the pub are very friendly. We came again for some pints, wings and chips- yet again the food was delicious! Also love that there is a pool table and had great fun playing. Fantastic pub, food and service overall. Will definitely keep coming back :)
