Generally Travelodge hotels are good. This one is situated just off the sea front & in a great location for the beach, shopping or the Brighton Centre venue. Clean & tidy on arrival with a bar & seating area on the ground floor. Our room was on the 7th floor, room was quite basic (especially the bathroom) but clean. My only issue was the noise from the wind, so bad it actually kept me awake most of the night. Perhaps they could invest in some better glazing, especially on the higher levels. I would return as the venue & price suited me but would hope to be lower down with less wind whisting through the windows)

Good location and excellent value. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. The only negatives were firstly the shower had signs of mould (see photo) and the shower hose was attached so that it cannot be easily moved while washing, and secondly, we inadvertently left an item behind but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone despite the number charging premium rate. We would have reported the mould in the shower but there was no one at reception at the time we were leaving and we could not wait as we were meeting someone.

Very close to the coast and all amenities. 12 min walk from railway station. Usual large comfortable bed, bathroom smaller than a lot of other's I've visited but adequate. Two lifts to 8 floors.. Nice bar on ground floor where you have breakfast although a Spoons only 3 buildings away if you're on a budget.. All in all, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, £40 a night in Brighton! Bargain..highly recommended

Our stay was great, everything was brilliant. Great staff very polite and professional. Room was very spacious with tea and coffee facility including a kettle. We had a nice view even though its off the side road our room had a view of the sea. Bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The Bathroom was a good size. Would definitely stay here again. Room 111.

The room was not bad for the most part, had been renovated at some point and everything seemed to work fine etc... but massively let down by the disgusting carpet. It was really dirty and horrible to walk bare foot on. I wouldn't let my dog sleep on that it was so bad. I had dinner in my reservation, which took quite a while considering it didn't look busy at all. But I can't fault the pizza and loaded chips, it was pretty nice Breakfast was not good though. Coffee machines looked unclean and the quality of the coffee reflected this. I think the secret ingredient to the rest of the breakfast may have been offcuts of old carpet. Even the hash browns were quite the disappointment. I wasn't expecting great things for breakfast but something edible would be nice.

Set just off the sea front, ample parking, but in municipal car parks. £25-£30 for 24hrs. Small restaurant wich serves a very reasonable meal at a good price. Breakfast was very good, and unlimited. Room was clean and well presented. Nice big shower. Overall very good motel.

Externally not very inviting, the doors need cleaning (difficult in a coastal area). The room was excellent, very small (little room to swing a cat if you wanted!!) but scrupulously clean. Limited menu in the cafe bar, and service not brilliant but I understand the staff shortages. Breakfast very good, but food could have been hotter and topped up more often. Overall reasonable hotel in a good location.

Decent hotel room, cant complain about the size, nice and tidy and reception staff super friendly and nice. Gave a 3 star rating as carpet around desk area is wet/damp!!!! Wanted to do some work on laptop, not good. Only here for one night and its fully booked, but still, would have expected cleaning staff to notice...

We booked and paid for a Super Room, we were staying for one night after a friend's party. When we arrived we had to wait nearly half an hour to check in as there was only one member of staff in the entire hotel. We booked and paid for a super room months in advance, but when we got to reception, the man at reception told us we can't have a super room (despite paying more for a super room), and that it was 'first come first serve' and didn't matter if we paid more. We asked him to refund the difference we paid for the super room, he said he couldn't because he wasn't a manager. We asked to speak to a manager, and the receptionist said 'I don't know where they are, they might be around somewhere', I asked for the manager's name and he said 'I don't know their name.' We paid for a Super Room because we know they are nice, we would never have booked the Travelodge if we had known we wouldn't get the room we paid for. We needed to go out, so we took the key for a standard room. The room had't been properly cleaned, it was in a really poor condition and we had to remove the last guest's used and damp towels. We could tell they were used as they were damp, stained and hanging from the curtain pole. We went to reception to complain, but there was a long queue of guests complaining / checking in for the one member of staff on duty. We decided to leave and stay somewhere else, we were very concerned that the room hadn't been sufficiently cleaned, and as we are still in the middle of a pandemic, a clean room is important. On our way out we told the receptionist that we were leaving and why, we asked him to get the manager to call us, the receptionist just shrugged and said 'I'm sure someone will be in touch', but we never received a call. We were unable to get accommodation that night, as we had spent a lot of money for the super room, instead we drove 3 hours back home after our friend's party. Neither me or my partner were willing to stay in a dirty standard room when we paid for a super room. We sent a complaint and a request for a full refund to Travelodge and are still waiting to hear back.
