We stayed christmas eve, the place was clean but the bathroom was like a freezer, no radiator, no hot water, so we couldnt shower. Woke up christmas day and still no hot water... room was cold as well :( bedding was clean and the view was nice. But the road is so noisy... the windows arent doublee glazed so i couldnt sleep :( bad experience.

Fantastic for the price. Ok its a budget hotel or top of the line hostel. Comfortable beds. I was in a 6 bed dorm. Large toilet/shower room in the dorm not down the corridor. A big +. Shower was good, reasonably powerful and good temperature control. Extremely clean. The staff noticed my disability and moved me to a bottom bunk without me asking. There was a lift which was working well. I didn't have the breakfast. So can't comment. Location was 50 meters from both the old burnt out pier and the 360 "ride. Maybe 120m from the GRAND HOTEL

The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the price. For such a reasonable rate on a private room, you can’t expect luxury, but it delivers solid value. The room was clean and even came with a sea view I hadn’t paid extra for, which was a pleasant surprise. The shower was functional, though it took nearly ten minutes to reach the right temperature - wasting a fair bit of water - and the head kept slipping from its holder. On the plus, complimentary shampoo and conditioner were provided. I couldn’t get the heater to work, so the room was quite cold at night, and there was noticeable noise from the road even on a weekday. The staff were polite, though nothing particularly memorable. Location is great if you're looking to stay in Brighton whilst avoiding the many hills. Overall, exactly what you pay for. Probably would book again.

Cheap and cheerful, mostly did job for 1 night. Close by to everything and very near the seafront which is nice. Could’ve been cleaner, lots of limescale and crud in the shower and some hairs around the place but not awful. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My main issue was we had x2 drunk men knock on our door at 3am and then try to break in when their key card didn’t work (presumably thinking it was their room). When we spoke to them, they said they’d been sent here and tried to get inside again. Eventually they left but it was quite nerve wracking and could’ve been very dangerous for a solo traveller, of which there were many in this hotel. They did have a 24hr desk but we were unsure about leaving the room to go to it as we could still hear them shouting and stomping around outside our room/corridor for over an hour afterwards, so just gave up and went to sleep. When we told the desk in the morning, they were very apologetic but I can’t understand why the attendant who let them inside in such a state didn’t walk them directly to their room? Or even hear the commotion of them shouting as we were on the ground floor. Seemed a bit remiss of night staff and did mean myself and my partner didn’t feel too safe. I understand other people’s behaviour isn’t their fault but I wonder if it could’ve been prevented by the person at the desk, presumably why they have a 24hr desk.

I did enjoy my stay in Selina very much. The staff is kind and approachable. They do care about your asks and needs. Comfortable bed and big bathroom. Complimentary tea and coffee. My friend's sister already booked here too and I will be back too!

It has been a great experience. The stuff is friendly and always available. The rooms are clean, enough blankets and towels are provided. The ambience is nice, the entrance is stuffed with beautiful plants. And the beach smells good, just a few meters away. The location is great - close to the center of the town, the Hostel is located on one of the main streets of good food. Will certainly come back!

We stayed here for two nights with my girlfriend—very kind, attentive staff. The atmosphere of the hotel is excellent! I booked "The Standard" with an ocean view. It was the most fantastic view we ever had. Big room, spacious entrance hall, and large bathroom. Clean! Location is very central. Right next to i360. So you can stop it from a distance. Great price-value ratio. I would stay here again. And I will remain with Selina hotels in the future for sure! Thank you!
