I recently sold my flat and had rented it out through Brighton Homes for the past 12 years and would recommend them. Steven and the team and very pragmatic and solution orientated. Whilst we had some professional disagreements in the beginning, i believe this helped to cement our long-term relationship and looking back, we were very happy to have instructed them.

Brighton homes took £1200 deposit from my son, when my son moved on they only gave back half of deposit. The excuses they used were absolute pathetic, even down to a cobweb. Josh was rude on phone and even put the phone down, the land lord himself re fused to speak to me. BEWARE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND TRY ANY EXCUSE TO HOLD IT BACK. The flat was left in a good condition, much the same as when first rented. Me and my wife and son cleaned the flat and nothing was damaged .

They were very nice to us when we started renting with them almost 5 years ago, but as soon as we gave our notice they were VERY rude. Josh sent us an extremely condescending email when I asked about why they took so much from our deposit from things that I think should have been fair wear and tear ("I can assure you , you have been treated fairly, you might feel that is not the case, but you definitely have" is the kind of tone you can expect from them after being a model tenant for 5 years). For people who are currently renting with them I would definitely advise to be careful when you leave, take lots of pictures, and don't let them disrespect you just because you don't bring them money anymore.

I started renting a property through Brighton homes in July 2020 during Covid times and as a single women anxious through these times and needing to find a place to rent quickly they were very understanding and responsive. Not having rented for some time I had loads of questions to ask and it was never a problem to them, the team were always happy to help and responded very quickly. During the one year I had a few items to report that needed fixing and again they were speedy to respond and always made sure I was about to let any workman in. If I was not, they always offered to have someone from their office be on site to let them in which was great. I always felt happy to contact them if I needed to and would most definitely be happy to rent through them again and recommend them to a friend/family member. When it came to ending the tenancy they were very responsive, helpful and again answered any questions I had. They made it so easy and I got my deposit back the day after the tenancy ended along with the readings so was really helpful. Thank you Brighton Homes :)
