Delicious food and friendly staff. Great vibe to the place. Everyone looked to be enjoying themselves. Lovely server. Look forward to coming back.

Really great food and SO many gluten free options! And on nice GF bread too! Great to just order a "normal" brunch and know it's safe to eat. Coffee was good too. Glynn & Dylan are also very lovely servers :)

Didn't want to leave a bad review but our experience was so poor. It took over 20 mins and a reminder to the staff for us to have our order taken. It then took over an hour for two sandwiches and some chips. Other tables who came in after us and having full fry ups got their food before us (it did take a long time for their food in fairness) We asked for an update after an hour and were told it would be another 5 minutes... 15 minutes later and it came. The table next to us were also kept waiting but were kept updated on their order and apologised to for the wait. We were just ignored. Went to pay and were just handed the card machine with the tip already added and I had to embarrassingly say it didn't seem reasonable to ask for a tip. We were told the kitchen is small and food does take some time. Might be worth telling people this on arrival as we wouldn't have stayed or even just keep us updated during the meal and apologise. Over an hour for two sandwiches seems insane. Not only no compensation but expecting a tip was disappointing. Added a picture of what we received

We popped in today for a quick break from the rain and to get some cake and coffee. We were greeted by friendly staff. We was not rushed to place our order. I had a decaff flat White and it was delicious and very strong. Also had some blueberry cake and it was soft, moist and a large portion. Multiple toilets and plenty of seating. Very clean and a nice atmosphere.

This place is amazing. Loved the vibe, music, and most importantly the food. We were looking for the perfect place that served breakfast; cooked for me and vegan for my wife. After looking at several places, we found Kooks. We were served by the very friendly Glyn. What arrived was knock-out (see photos). My poached eggs were perfect. Real attention to detail with the cooking. And my wife’s yoghurt and granola was exactly what she craved, but there was also a vegan cooked breakfast option. Cannot recommend this place highly enough and we’ll be going back the next time we’re in Brighton. Love love love ❤️

Lovely find in the Lanes in Brighton, we were on the hunt for a good breakfast after being at an event the night before. We happened across this place and was very impressed by the coffee and breakfasts on offer. We ordered 4 of the cooked breakfasts and coffees and juices. There was a short wait on the food, but when it came out, looked fantastic. Most of the ingredients were locally sourced and cooked fresh there and then with spot on poached eggs. The cafe was very clean and looked very on trend with friendly helpful staff on hand. We will definitely return when visiting Brighton again.

Very yummy (kind of fancy) place! I don't usually eat fancy food, but this was pretty delicious. Yummy iced coffee and smashed avocado brunch. Very helpful and efficient workers there and a nice room to enjoy your food in.

Breakfast on point. Staff really friendly, think it was a guy called Tom who took us to the table. Very friendly and welcoming and great table service. We'll worth a visit if your down in the North laine

The service is great. And the food is as you’d expect, nothing really special but good. It can be quite cramped but it definitely has a decent atmosphere. I imagine it’s great in the summer when the outside seating is all available.

My go-to spot for Sunday breakfast/lunch. The fry up is delicious, although its served with a thimble of baked beans. The staff are very friendly and attentive, but you can tell they're feeling the stress during busy periods. The coffee is great too (lots of alt. milk options). I really wish the sourdough toast was served with butter, it's a small difference but would elevate the dish
