Food is always good. Service is good but the team often seem understaffed so it is slower than you would like ideally. Good drinks / cocktails. Atmosphere is good except it is sometimes really hot or tonight it was pretty cold with a draft from the main entrance. Noah was our server and was great. Recommend the espresso martini (can be decaf)!

Chilworth Arms, Southampton. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines modern cuisine with excellent dining etiquette, look no further than Chilworth Arms. This establishment truly understands how to cater to a variety of tastes, offering a thoughtfully created menu that is anything but dull. Each dish is prepared to perfection, bursting with flavours and creativity that will ignite your palate. The staff here are not only exceptionally well-trained but also genuinely friendly, providing attentive service that feels natural and welcoming. We have to extend our special thanks to Erinn, who looked after us so well. If you're in the Chilworth area, this spot is a must-visit. Although the prices are slightly higher than those of your average neighbourhood eatery, the experience is well worth it for anyone seeking a stylish dinner with delicious food. You won’t regret spending a little extra for a memorable meal out. There were four of us here today as a group; the place was very busy and welcoming. A bigger car park is needed, and this was the only downside. We kicked off our meals with Scallops and Cheddar Mushrooms. This was followed by three roast dinners and a steak and Melbec Pie, all cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Deserts followed, and all were superb. In conclusion, Chilworth Arms is truly a remarkable venue. The attentive staff, exceptional food, and vibrant atmosphere create an unforgettable dining experience. It may not have been a special occasion, but it certainly became a lasting memory. We will be back soon!

Erin was our waitress, excellent customer service skills and made us feel very welcome throughout our meal. From start to finish Erin was very attentive and catered to all of our needs. The food was amazing and the service provided made it extra special. We will be returning soon.

I came with my partner for a Sunday lunch and it was the best roast we've had out in months! The restaurant was absolutely packed which created a great atmosphere and didn't affect the service at all! The staff were very tentative and the food was all top quality and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back again for a Sunday roast!

Great impromptu meals out. Atmosphere was nice and chilled. Food was really tasty and our waitress (Freya) was really lovely, helpful, smiley, friendly and attentive. Thanks all.

Modern contemporary decor, very busy even on a rainy Tuesday night. Lots of wealthy customers which is good as the food is on the slightly higher end of good. Good choice on the menu, starters, sides, mains, desserts and shine sharers. When busy service can be slow, 20 mins+. Dirty burger good and comes with dipping sauce. Cut the burger in half and dip away! Washed down with Hells larger. Roasted pork belly with scallops a bit disappointing, as meat came with a large amount of uncooked fat. A pint of Neck Oil a good choice with the pork. Billionaires chips are tasty and worth a little treat with Asahi beer.

Booked a last minute table for lunch. Upon arrival a server told us we could sit inside and have table service or sit outside and order at the bar. We opted for inside as we could see there was a private booking outside which may require several servers. Cleanliness of the restaurant was poor for 12pm (opening). I was shocked to see stains and crumbs on the table and dead flies in the window sill. We had multiple servers attend to us who were friendly and helpful, however, I did feel some were scruffily dressed or inappropriately dressed. Some staff were also stood around, which was frustrating to see because they could have been serving outside tables. Our food was prompt and nice.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. It’s a lovely restaurant/bar in a lovely location. Service is nice and quick and always a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend as somewhere to go for some food or just a pint.

I came to the Chilworth Arms for the Sunday lunch. I had the trio of roasts and all 3 meats (pork, chicken and beef) were cooked perfectly. The gravy and the trimmings were also to a very high standard, one of the best roasts I've had in years! Lovely country pub atmosphere with very pleasant and polite staff, I will be returning!
